I saw this trailer when i was like 5 years old, it was like 1996, i was alone in my room, it was like 6 pm, the sunset was almost gone, i don't know why this trailer stroke so deep on my mind when i was a child, now im almost 30 and i found again the trailer, it is such a strange feelin about this.

Back when movies were great. Cocoon is one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made infact I'd put it in the greats list along with films like Alien.

I love the religious references - going to another place for eternal life - even the spaceship goes into the white light at the end. I hope that's where I'm going.

That is most certainly on my bucket list.

Love this movie and # 2, some of these characters were also used in the movie Batteries Not Included. All where great and the soundtracks are awesome, love big band.

Wilford Brimley is younger in this movie than Tom Cruise was in Mission Impossible Fallout. LOL

i watched it today and all these years later i still bawled my eyes out over the fishing scene. so heartbreaking.. beautiful filming and improv work by brimley and his grandson.

I miss Brian Dennehy. He had such a grounding personality.

Hard to believe Wilford Brimley was only 49 in this movie.

Wilford was only 50 when he made this film but he looked much older (Ameche was 77, Tandy was 76, Cronyn was 74).

That kid right now is getting closer to wilford brimley age when the movie came out!

Never heard of this movie but now want to watch it. Watching this trailer I for some reason got a hunch this reminds me of the aesthetic of Jaws and then got the confirmation at the end. Pretty weird.
