ОтветитьMarlboro is also one of the most iconic motorsport sponsors. Formula 1, rally, Le Mans, TransAm, Indycar, you could look at the grid and you’d find multiple cars in red and white. If you think of it, Formula 1 was the perfect product for Marlboro to sponsor. It combines the glamour they tried to appeal to in the 50’s and the rugged sense of adventure and maverick-ness their later ads did.
The only major racing sport they didn’t sponsor was NASCAR, and that’s only because Winston already had it on lock
Your information is incorrect on your timelines. Marlboro wasnt filtered until about 1953, that is when they switched the pack to what we know today the red and white pack. Until then yea it was marketed towards woman.
ОтветитьCigarette companies lied to us to get us to smoke, now they do the same thing with vaping. There will always be people wanting to sell you poison and make you pay for it.
ОтветитьMy grandmother loved her unfiltered cigarettes. She has been smoking them for 50 years. She still enjoys them today along with the oxygen tank that needs to be replenished.
ОтветитьYou mentioned tv westerns..
why not mention that the brand
used "the Magnificent seven's"
film Score as a marketing tool ?
For that lone Cowboy !!
Yeah I've know many that smoked Marlboros men and women and it killed them both equally. If anything was a creation of the devil it would be the cigarette glad to see its not nearly as popular as it was when I was a kid almost everyone seemed to smoke back then.

ОтветитьTV and radio ads went away in 1971. Print ads and point of sale advertising are still legal. Print ads can no longer be on billboards or transit busses, But are still allowed in magazines aimed at a majority (85%) adult audience.
ОтветитьAnother thing about the Marlboro brand is CONSITANCY. the packaging and logo has not changed AT ALL in over 60 years. A pack from 1964 is the same as one from 2024. Instant brand recognition is like free advertising. The "Marboro" logo is as recognizable as the "Coca~Cola" script.
ОтветитьRed, White and black are classic marketing colors. Marlboro, Verizon, the Nazi regime etc
ОтветитьThe real Marlboro man never smoked, and lived to be 90.
ОтветитьCan you even find soft packs anymore ?
ОтветитьI don’t smoke anymore but when I did Marlboro lights were my favorite

ОтветитьI have been smoking marlboro reds for 53 years, i started in the ninth grade. Back then everyone i knew in JHS smoked (marlboro was by far the most popular brand). The majority of my friends still smoke (its a biker thing i guess!).

ОтветитьAs of today Marlboro don't need advertisment 35% of world population smokes cigarettes and most of them choose Marlboro
ОтветитьPeople smoke cigarettes and blow shit all over the wall and toilet at the same time.
Ответить@salilsardesai
ОтветитьIn areas that was not privileged with Marlboro ads; we're still smoking them more than other brands, as someone who hated the idea and smell of smoking, I come to compare the brands when I eventually fell into the habit and what I find is that Marlboro is simply smoother to consume than other brands. Maybe it's the residue of using the same production/s when they marketed it to be for women, but I certainly don't know. I tried Camel and Chesterfield(I smoke Reds). Chesterfield is okay, but Marlboro was really just easier for the throat.
ОтветитьThey left out one small detail.
During a Congressional hearings, they were asked if they spiked Marlboro with additional nicotine.
The manufacturers denied it, saying that they never added nicotine from other sources...
What they didn't say was that they took all the chaff and unusable parts of the tobacco leaf and rendered out the nicotine and added it to mix used in the cigarettes making them stronger and more addictive...
"I smoke marlboro, you smoke cock"
Ответитьi can't smoke cigarettes thank God....if i smoke just one i feel ill for several days.

ОтветитьLove me some Mario Bros cigarette
