As someone with back issues---this sounds like the lower back, especially with the pain & numbing sensation. He also could have narrowing of the spinal column (spinal stenosis) which I also have. If this person is overweight, losing that weight could help prevent pain/numbing. The more weight I gain, the more my back hurts. Of course, everyone is different. Prolonging treatment will result in those nerves becoming permanently damaged, so I'd suggest seeing a dr asap.

Hello from Texas again just wanted to say how much I appreciate your taking the time to. Video. I have worked in medicine my whole life. Most podiatrist would just refer the patient to go back to their primary doctor. But you take the time to talk to your patient and find referral for X-rays and neurologist in their areas. I hope you’re patients know how lucky they are.

His feet look like a dinosaurs claw. How could anyone let their feet get to this point. The moment he started having issues he should have gone to the doctor. Obviously he didn’t care , because he let it get so bad! He works so it’s not like he’s an old man that can’t take care of themselves.Pure Laziness .

Dr Jefferson, I'm sorry I must disagree that this man's boots were the cause of his feet looking the way that they were. He just needed to have had his nails cut period! He could have made an appt. to come and see you before they got that bad. You are so good and kind. I just watched two other Podiatrist videos and the feet that they were working on were horrific! They went from one foot to the other and as I waited for them to come back and FINISH UP, they started their Closing Remarks....😢 no, no, you're not done! This nail is jagged, what about that skin around that callous, please, don't you see all that toe jam stuck in there? Dr. Jefferson never leaves these things undone and the feet and legs are always moisturized.
Dr. JEFFERSON I think that you should open up a school and call it:
THE JEFFERSON SCHOOL OF PODIATRIC MEDICINE FOR ELITE WOMEN AND MEN OF HIGH CHARACTER.
Maybe some of these doctors will come over and take lessons from you, because they don't finish up unless it's off camera after the video is over.

Dr. Jefferson you are such a fine human being to censor any desire to scold people who've been to you and then don't keep up with any home care once they leave+ you don't turn them away. God bless you! This man let this get away from him but it's so hard to implement better habits. I struggle not eating right, so i get it. I hope he sees the Drs your recommending. You're a kind man. Thank you for being so thorough+ compassionate! I hope this man gets well!

As soon as I can when I get home is to eat a large bowl of vegetables like squash, bell peppers, tomatoes anything and everything oil based to avoid dryness around my feet and also change out of my sweaty socks... That also includes wearing proper fitting boots in particular... This video scares the daylights out of me... My feet presentation is likely to keep me married for a very, very long time to my Asian wife!

Feet need to be soaked now and then to loosen the dead skin. Love an occasional soaking bath!

I agree that you truly are a top notch provider! I’m sad that root cause of many of these conditions could be corrected and reversed by improving the diet, but most folks would rather not make the effort to do that.

A daily walk on the beach with the sand and salt water would help these feet to never look like that again.
