How to Understand My PG&E True Up

Yes, please I would love more information on free solar units.

Is the negative balance subtracted from the true up? My bill shows a negative balance and a positive true up balance. I hope that make sense. Any help would be great.

My bill says credit balance -$554.37 and my true up say estimated at true up is 681

Hey Mike. I live in edh as well. I have solar that was placed 2-3 years ago by a local company out of Folsom. The first year I had the solar was great for the most part. I was paying the monthly service charge to Pg&e for $11/month. My true up last February was about $1400 and I have the same due this month for the year of 2022. I also have been charged by pioneer electric every month for runs $120. I need some help understanding what the hell I am paying for and looks like I need additional panels. Allow me, lol,, Yeah no law that I have to keep pge, I now generate 63KW a day on a good day. My plan is cut them out completely once I can add batteries and generator.

The purpose for getting the solar is to lower the bill but I think I’m paying more with this true up once I spread it out over the no winter months.

If they know what you generate every month... and what you OWE every month, why not just fucking charge me that at the end of the month? I don't want to owe at the end of the year like fucking taxes. I have enough to worry about in December/January

How do you explain that last part of not owing pge and how do you flatten out the usage during the year to owe less at the end of the true up bill .

Can you provide on any programs for California that would provide with any extra panels not to owe pge anything

We are under NEM 2.0 and have had solar for one year. Our "true-up" date was June 30, 2024. The minimum delivery charged us by PG&E is approximately $12 per month. Our system created an excess of 1860 Kwh during the past year for which PG&E compensated us at .0399/Kwh for the surplus, which amounted to $74.21. If you think you're going to get rich off creating surplus electricity for these bandits, you're not. Our goal is to be self-sufficient and I can guarantee you that we're going to find a way to use that excess electricity rather than allow PG&E to rob us. Next on our list is to install an electric heat pump for our swimming pool. (we also have two 10Kwh batteries)
