I know this is a year old. But I have alopecia areata, where only 1 of my eyebrows is losing hair. Everything else is fine. It's just my right eyebrow that is missing hair. I have gone through steroid shots and ointment, and now I am taking Litfulo. I have only been on it for 1 month but I am an impatient person and I haven't seen any results yet. I am afraid what if this doesn't work for me. I do wear a temporary eyebrow tattoo.

Hey Dr. Linkov! Now that there is 2+ more years of wider statistics available, are you reconsidering going on Olumiant? I've had Alopecia since I was 8, and I've battled waves of hair loss. But similar to your hair loss story, I noticed things really going downhill in early 2020. Recently, I had SIGNIFICANT hair loss - no eyebrows, no eyelashes, thinning facial hair and probably less than 20% scalp coverage. In the last 4ish months, I"ve done 2 rounds of steroid injections in my eyebrows and have been on 2mgs of Olumiant. The difference has been remarkable, and both my bloodwork and anecdotal evidence suggests there are no apparent side effects. While I am not betting on full scalp coverage, the difference in eyebrows/eyelashes/facial hair has been SUCH a boost to my confidence. Whether you go on it or not, I hope you're happy in skin and doing well mentally! 😀

I find your explanation of JAKi drugs side effects both comforting and disconcerting. I’ve been suffering from RA for the last 4 years and after trying many drugs, Rinvoq allows me to walk again but I feel like I’m playing Russian roulette every day. I’m 59 and a stroke survivor due to brain aneurysms and a blotched coiling surgery. My rheumatologist doesn’t seem concerned. He seems relieved that I’m not in pain.
