okay, that ambulance bit was SO wrong, an active ambulance has right of way over literally anything else on the road aside from another active ambulance to the point where a cop car trying to pit maneuver an ambulance would immediately get itself into that elusive category where cops are actually supposed to be actively trying to ram them and shoot their tires out and all sorts of other I-thought-this-was-only-in-movies stuff that is way more likely to kill someone nearby than actually work as intended.
there have been god damned presidential processions getting their asses off the road ASAP for ambulances. or at least there were before they started treating everyone and everything else as hostile, no idea how they deal with that sort of situation these days since it would be one of the easier rout disruptions to fake.
