been watching for a while, and was a recommendation... I just like how things work
Ответитьif you say that part of the cooling circuits are no longer used, you could connect two condensers in series in order to increase the cooling capacity…
ОтветитьCould you of just changed the head?
ОтветитьCould've just cut the pigtail..
ОтветитьI have been watching your videos for about 3 or 4 years now and I like that you’re making it easier to understand and showing your work. I’m an electrician by trade and always have been interested in learning about how it all goes, Chris keep up the good work I’ll keep watching.
ОтветитьI work in IT, but ever since I started watching your channel a couple years ago I have learned a ton. I managed to put in a mini split all by myself in my garage and even flushed my lines with nitrogen then vacuuming it down. I also started cleaning my AC coils twice a year too. You would be proud. 😂
ОтветитьI found you during covid-19 in Texas were most workers were sent home. It is cool to find out how the HVAC works. I surprise my maintenance techs since I know what the parts of the big industrial HVAC parts are.
ОтветитьFound your channel years ago from a mention from Technology Connections channel. Haven't stopped watching.
ОтветитьGreat video I am just starting out in Refrigeration after being in Resi for 18 years and your videos are very knowledgeable.
ОтветитьHi - I am Ralf from Germany - I think I follow you since 2 years now - we do have a lot of Heat pumps - not ACs here in Germany - and I think i can learn a lot how you approach the problems on the systems. Thanks for teaching me.
ОтветитьI started watching a month ago, definitely a lot of help understanding more in-depth & explanations for everything. Really appreciate it!
ОтветитьWhy take all this time to bypass the valve when replacing the valve would have taken the same amount of time? Was the valve you needed on backorder or something?
ОтветитьI am in a situation where i need to understand refrigeration and do as much as i can myself. I have an old theater with a worthington compressor in the boiler room and a newer, as in from the 80s bac cooling tower on the roof. I also buy auction display coolers prep tables etc. It really helps learning the proper techniques and brazing. Thanks so much. This was beyond what i do but still helpful.
ОтветитьI started watching in 2020.
ОтветитьInteresting cleaning technique. Here in Brazil we always use a pressure washer (and cleaning product) to clean the coils, specially when there's this much dirt
ОтветитьThis is a great video I never knew there was so much to discuss comercial HVAC. Keep making these videos they're great you're very informative you're a great teacher
Ответить1 year your videos started popping up huge fan
ОтветитьHi just a quick 1. What app did u use to check the temps of the head pressure control valve. Thanka
ОтветитьI love your videos, I always learn something, and the way you teaching is a credit to you, I’ll keep watching and learning, you can never stop learning. I’m 58 and have been in the industry since I was 18 and I’m still seeing something new all the time, well done.
Ответитьsight glass needs to far from dryer better off not having it at all 36 years exp
ОтветитьI've been watching your videos for a few years now and is kinda the reason why I wanted to get into this trade. Now I do commercial refrigeration service. But I do have a question for you. What torch body and which tip do you like the best for brazing?
ОтветитьIn germany we dont use the headpressure valve ones anymore we just regulate the fanspeed to keep up the head pressure
ОтветитьI am late to respond to this since this video is a bit old, but I just randomly came across your videos. I do not know what it is that placed your videos in my recommended, but I found them fun and interesting to watch. I also stopped watching for awhile because the vids were not showing in my list anymore. Then they randomly showed up again. Now I am subscribed so I won't miss any.
ОтветитьBeen watching for about two months and been in the trade for about 9 months. You were recommended by one of our techs. Love watching because I always learn something new!
Ответитьi've been watching for about a year or so. it came up in the recommendations.
Ответитьabout a year, popped up as recommended. thank you
ОтветитьJust stumbled on to it and have been captivated every time I see one your experience and professional approach are amazing
ОтветитьIf you are wanting to delete the current condenser, and add new , why would you go though all that ?
Should have just snapped the pig tail on the head master and moved on ….
Just a thought to save ya some time on the next one.
Three years😊
ОтветитьLack of maintenance. Wow, big surprise. Looks like it's been 10 years since anyone looked in there.
Ответитьgood stuff bra, watching for 4 months. think the algorithm brought me here from watching other hvac repair vids. should be gettin my hvacr hat soon. i just started a residential hvac biz. watch your stuff to sharpen my craft. i am super anal like you and want to know why and how crap breaks. think we must be kin somehow because i love knowing and troubleshooting! ha
its hard enough working on this stuff much-less videoing, editing and teaching. thx for what you do it really helps alot of us! fact.

I have been watching for about a month. I was once part of a family run electric motor repair shop, so I have repaired and rewound the larger hermetic motors, We also sold the smaller condenser fan motors and fan blades, and other related supplies. I did custom control panel for electric motor controls. Most of what you see up there I am very familiar. Some of the ac controls and system not so much, but I have a basic knowledge of how they work and continue to learn.
ОтветитьSince the condensers are too small and several aren't used, could you recover charge from one or both of the unused systems and then loop the condensers to gain the extra surface area you need? Just wondering if that would even be an option.
ОтветитьI'm not an HVAC guy. I'm starting an ice cream shop. I wanted to ask do all walk in freezers need a roof unit like this? What happens in a cold climate during the winter? I live in Canada and I'm concerned about having to go up on the roof to clear snow away form this thing.
ОтветитьI've been watching for maybe more than a year, and I really don't remember how I found your channel. I guess it was a recommendation.
ОтветитьAnd I'm thinking about buying one your hats and probably a sweatshirt when it gets colder.
ОтветитьYou let your customers use and abuse you. We all already know that that compressor should be replaced just by watching your videos and I’m just an OCD Electrician.
ОтветитьI admire the fact that you always go above and beyond when servicing equipment and trying to prevent future service calls meanwhile alot other techs and contractors are trying to make service calls to get more money or just halfing it and you actually diagnose the problem and make an effort cudoes to you
ОтветитьBigclive was my route here. I have nothing to do with the HVACR industry, I just like the technical breakdowns and your process of diagnosis and repair!
ОтветитьQuestion, was there a technical reason for the way you routed that head-pressure control valve bypass pipe up and over? or was it just the easiest/cleanest with whats on hand? <sorry not trying to sound critical, just curious>
