I'm an absolute newbie, I came to your channel to get help with building some custom shelving in my house. A few weeks later and I'm hooked on your channel. I still havnt but any shelves lol.

thanks for all the videos and job well done. I am learning a lot watching, but on the safety side not to be picky when using a impact to drive the large anchor bolts you need to use a impact socket. The standard sockets can crack and break apart with the hammering action. I have had it happen. thanks again for the great videos.

I don't get it, if you are casting concrete why not just cast it with the anchor bolt instead of drilling the concrete and screwing the anchor bolt after the concrete is cast.

Your OCD approach to building is great to see and it’s too bad you’re not located in Tennessee, I have a piece of land I would love to have a pole frame home on. FWIW -The builders of the Greek temples used snap strings to layout the rows of columns. Some things never change because they work.

Chalk Tip- Mix blue chalk with black concrete dye. You get a nice visible shade of purple that does not wash off in the rain!

You can always use clear spray paint over your chalk lines to make them last in the weather, in case rain pops up

Which bracket is better to use the wet set or the bolt down

yhe laser is cool but you can do the same thing with a string line and it doesnt need batteries or to be charged. Im only being salty because I cant afford one though LOL

Little tip on that chalk line, spray it over with clean lacquer to save it for ever ;)
btw. 15k for line lase is a lot just to deal with 90deg setting out which you could do with any laser like that with sensor ;) but hey yes, it's easier when those tools work for you, not you for them ;)

Kyle, On this job, What was the thickness of the concrete floor the customer wanted?

Can I store a washer in this shed(Weight (lbs.)208.3) or does it have a weak floor that necessitates an osb platform or additional support?

I have done construction from trimming houses to building 2800 foot garage is attached to our house garage as you can put a fire truck in and close the door, if you build a garage big enough and it echoes, is that good ?? You hit everything 100% dead on the only thing difference between what you build and I build I don’t do though pole barn style construction

Sir, try the lenker rod by laserline. It will make finding the difference between your control elevation and the elevation of the other columns amazingly fast and accurate. I know your way works great, but i know you like gadgets and cool tools. I have used them for years, and they are worth every penny. GR1000I. Do not get the cut fill rod. That way, you can use it for normal everyday grade work.

Why don't you use black chalk? I've been told it's indelible. At least when you're making concrete.
