Not for nothing, I was doing a couple of sets with dumbbells. It’s helping me to slow down and go lower
ОтветитьI have huge problems replicating this technique. Because if I arch my back and try to keep as upright as Mr RP, then either my heels lift off the ground or I fall backwards. I suppose my knees need to come over my toes more to create some counter balance, but something is stopping that from happening. I know that my hamstrings are very tight, could that be it? More stretching?
Ответитьif I put my chest up during squat doesn't it hurt my lower back?
ОтветитьGood Man
ОтветитьCan't believe ppl who are attending the Arnold are so useless at squattin'.
ОтветитьFor the algorithm!
ОтветитьThis video gets a little dark at the end.
ОтветитьCheryl's probably married too and she's probably bragging about her happy marriage on social media like too many little cunt girls in their 20s and 30s today
ОтветитьHaha, mike is so damn funny man. ❤️
ОтветитьMy squats are garbage. Used to play volleyball in back row, so my muscle memory kicks in: heels up on your toes and low chest. I have to actively think about it in the moment or I slip back into defensive position like a ball is about to come flying at my face
ОтветитьThank you!! 💪🏋️♀️🎉
ОтветитьI'm gonna try this on my next workout. I was scared of going past 90 degrees because of popping sounds in my knees. Everything I've read says if it doesn't hurt it's OK.
ОтветитьLmfao! Your baby's wrong!😂
ОтветитьThese tips are all awesome, thank you! Meanwhile, I’m going down a google rabbit hole trying to find that Cobra shirt 😂
ОтветитьI was at planet fitness doing squats then some lady who worked there came and critiqued my form. She said that I should make my toes straight for squatting and that she has trained big guys and tons of people in the army. I still think about that interaction. I still wish i could just see her again and tell her how wrong she is
ОтветитьShould you try to lean back as much as possible without falling? Along the lines of chest up.
ОтветитьI'm a big fan of the Chris Duffin "bear down" cue, and it helps me hit depth easier too since I tend to not rotate my hips forward. You said in powerlifting, bear down is fine, but in hypertrophy training, you would arch. Is there a weight threshold you'd recommend doing the duffin stuff? Like, anything over 70% or 80% go for a max brace?
ОтветитьHahaaaaaa
ОтветитьYa bitch he's married back tf off. Leave ur number at the doorstep and get the hell outta here
ОтветитьHey Doc where’s a man get that shirt
Ответитьany tips on how to not fuck up my shoulders when i load the bar? this is genuinly the limiting factor at times and in spite of this I have shown much growth but its getting a little much
ОтветитьWow the knees out really helped. I'm currently putting all 3 into practice. /salute
ОтветитьMy only question will be how wide should you go?
ОтветитьIf I do like 5 reps on squat, should I chest up or nah?
ОтветитьI’ve been having a ton of knee valgus since I had surgery, I’m doing a lot of hip abduction exercises, but I’m noticing I come up way too fast. This is good advice
ОтветитьIs that a Cobra T-shirt? Awesome
ОтветитьCan you do this with dumbbells?
ОтветитьI really like your content. Thanks for doing this. I know creating good content is damn hard.
ОтветитьI think I’ve just done my first real squat.
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьI get locked out at 45 angle! Can't get any lower
ОтветитьOne extra component I'll do with clients, is have them close their eyes during the squat, so they can't "rely" on any visual cues.
ОтветитьYou will pay for your disrespect when I'm done with my potty training big, bald man.
ОтветитьWould love a video to show the 2 squat variations that you spoke about 🙏🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьAs a naturally intelligent baby I appreciate being included and as such won't kill humanity when I'm grown.
ОтветитьDude……
The “baby comment/vent” is all I needed to guarantee I’ll have a good day.
oh, but many babies squat with a super straight back. That to me is always impressive =)
ОтветитьWhat about bio mechanics? My femurs longer than a mofo…I just cannot stay upright and get depth
ОтветитьAs a baby of 38 years I found this profoundly insightful!
ОтветитьDr Mike please can you do one of your reviews on the GOATA movement system?
ОтветитьHow to stop getting low back pain when sqauatting
ОтветитьTurning my feet out a bit really helped.. I hated squats because I kept going on my toes but now it's great
ОтветитьGreat advice thank you. I’m watching as need to understand proper technique for doing squats (recommended by Dr) to help with knee pain. Would you recommend anything different technique wise for people with knee wear and tear (early signs of osteoarthritis)?
ОтветитьI see these squat mistakes all the time like 100% of the time at regular commercial gyms
ОтветитьLove you, thank you.
ОтветитьI've been struggling with my squat depth for a while, and this video provided some great insights on how to work on that.
ОтветитьGreat video and tips as usual!
ОтветитьPanicked first time trainer here lol. Been working out for years and years but just had my first free session with a client and the intro could not be more spot on lol. Confident I’ll get the girl straightened out but damn I didn’t know it was this bad out here lol.
