I'm from Northern Ireland and in my house we have both roses and quality street.
ОтветитьQuality Street!! Every time. :D
ОтветитьMy ex will get an email on xmas wishing him merry xmas. if he actually wants me to come over he will have to find a way to say so himself, but baby steps. First I will message him and tell him merry xmas. He is free to respond however he feels like at that time.
ОтветитьNext Christmas I wanna do the 12 pubs tradition. Fuckin pandemic ruined those plans.
ОтветитьI want to move to Ireland. Please adopt me.
ОтветитьI'm watching in 2020 as part of a virtual Christmas Holiday.
Go raibh maith agat!
Im officially bring back women's little Christmas. The whole of the world, instead of one day its 3 days. 2 days on it and 1 day of recovery. 😁Its official! 💚
ОтветитьLate late toy show is absolutely boring!!!
ОтветитьAnd'-emmm 😘
ОтветитьWhere do you live?
ОтветитьI like the 12 pubs in Christmas ;). Thanks for the videos. Live in Ireland for 6 years now and I learned a lot from your videos.
ОтветитьI love the late late toy show
ОтветитьMy church here in the U.S. does a candlelight service on Christmas Eve. It used to be at 11 but now it is earlier as well. The best part of the mass though is when they turn off all of the lights. Everyone gets a candle and we sing Silent Night. It's so beautiful.
ОтветитьMy family still does Women's Christmas. It has been passed down generation after generation and yes I'm from America and it will continue in my family whenever I have kids they will be taught this old Irish tradition
ОтветитьI am from there. The tradition I remember the most is the chucking of the cap/cork from the whiskey bottle into the trash...the drinking stopped when the bottle was empty, and not a drop before.
ОтветитьSeem like Irish is very very nice and friendly 😀
ОтветитьIn the Netherlands, we have the New Years Dive to start the new year off... fairly similar. Some of the traditions I knew about because they're a thing in England too like the panto, and the crackers and crowns (we got family over there). And it's kind of funny, in our household growing up as a kid Christmas gifts weren't a thing (we did Saint Nicolas a few weeks earlier), but the box of Quality Street was a thing... not every year I think. And indeed the Christmas Eve church service, it's for both the Catholics and Protestants... or any other denomination really.
ОтветитьHere in British Columbia,Canada We call it The Polar Dip, which happens every New Years Day 💙🌊I went in once or twice in Okanogan lake when I was younger, but now too cold for Me!
ОтветитьAre you living in the Republic of Ireland?
ОтветитьShe forgot kids used to give santa coke
ОтветитьThe "Christmas Crakers" Got moved to New Years Eve in the United States. I don't know why
ОтветитьI thought you meant these when you said Chocolate Roses
ОтветитьThe Irish fought the British for 800 years, a big part of it was about religion. And now they don’t go even to Mass ?
ОтветитьYou have a nice accent.
ОтветитьSounds like very new traditions
ОтветитьI no anderstaending englisch . Please oh German writh .
ОтветитьI love the toy show idea. It reminds me of the 80’s. It made it easy to know what to get 💗 Like a old Sear catalogue in Canada 🇨🇦
ОтветитьI lived in Ireland for two years and went through Christmas obviously twice. My family is from Ireland. I love this country. By the way you are beautiful
ОтветитьI thought it was 1 pub in each night for 12 days. 12 Pubs in one night sounds like a mess. I know I would be destroyed.
ОтветитьSimilar to your Ladies Little Christmas is my church's tradition of a Ladies' Christmas Breakfast. Every December, about fifteen women host and decorate tables, often with plates and glasses that had been in the family for generations, and invite other ladies (friends, family, neighbors, etc) to come to the event and join them at their tables. The men of the church serve the ladies hot drinks and breakfast casseroles, all nicely dressed and mannered. Sometimes young boys will help too. There's also a message from a guest speaker and a musical number or two from other church members. It's an opportunity for women to get connected, feel fancy and honored, and have simple fun and spiritual nourishment. I've always loved going and would enjoy continuing this tradition. 😊
ОтветитьI brought Christmas crackers from Dublin 🇮🇪 to Guadalajara 🇲🇽 one Christmas. So it’s definitely possible. As long as you put them in your checked luggage.
ОтветитьNice video. Can't stop watching her. Merry Christmas and I wish to do 12 pubs at least once in my life. Can't leave the first one.
ОтветитьKiss me i´m a Leprechaun! Quick, or i run away!
ОтветитьShould we just calling honky tonk and where I'm from 12 pubs so you might end up in four if you lucky it depending on what you drink
Ответитьlove your fake Irish accent lol
ОтветитьWait…is half nine, half after nine or half before nine?
ОтветитьOf course, living beyond the Pale I didn't realise pubs open in Ireland on Christmas Day.
All I can say God help the children whose parents celebrate Christmas this way.
Is it any wonder that there was a big increase in calls to Childline on Christmas day.
so not rural Irish.... This video is based on urban city life and does not represent rural Ireland in any way
ОтветитьAh man , as someone who doesn’t drink at all I would probably never last in Ireland. I do love Ireland though ♥️
ОтветитьI would love to see ireland someday
ОтветитьYou are a sweetheart!! Thank you for your fun and informative post!!!!🙂☘️🇨🇮
Ответитьmy only experience of Irish Xmas, is that my sisters Irish Mother-inlaw could cook the world ( including wars ) to a stand still with Xmas lunch. Got so sun-burned because I was soooo satisfied, that I flaked out in the yard on the cloudless summer day. Legendary cooks - and don't forget the whiskey.
ОтветитьWhat county do you live in?
Ответитьhow to get a job in Ireland?
ОтветитьAre you American?
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI’ve never heard of Epiphany being referred to as women’s day. It’s the day the wise men got to baby Jesus; the 12th day of Christmas.
My mom was full Irish so I’m wondering why she didn’t know about this. None of her siblings or my grandmother ever mentioned it either 🤔
Thanks for sharing traditions, the swim sounds fun,Merry Christmas from illinois! :)
ОтветитьReally nice video. 😊 Hope you had a cozy Christmas on the Emerald Isle... (btw - I made a reaction to this video the other day. Cheers)
ОтветитьMidnight mass is the place to find out where the parties are going to be.😉😉
