How much do you sell the skeins for? And do you do farmers markets? Or online orders? Your yarn is great!
ОтветитьI love all the alpaca
ОтветитьLoads of good info. That is a lot of coin to care, feed and maintain these beautiful furry alpacas. I got a 🙋♀️ question, why don’t we touch the little one? Btw Happy Anniversary guys wishing y’all loads more years of happiness, laughter and memories.
ОтветитьSound the alarm. Good luck with selling out of your alpaca yarn. And John Flaccid 🤦♂️😂
ОтветитьHi face was worth it! Lol
ОтветитьWere you able to make a profit from the yarn to cover the food, maintainence, and processing costs?
ОтветитьHi. Why don't they eat grass???
ОтветитьThank you for sharing all the info. Very informative. I crochet and have never used anything but acrylic yarns but need to change that. 🙂
ОтветитьJust curious but why weren’t you supposed to touch the baby?
ОтветитьThis is very informative and your alpacas are so adorable!! I loved seeing the little baby Felix chasing the kitty around lol! I was looking for a place to buy alpaca yarn continually because I got some for the first time today from a ranch in a town I’m visiting and I’m OBSESSED, and your shop has some very good prices and you seem to take wonderful care of your critters, so once I’m in a place to buy more yarn, I’m totally snagging some! The yarn I got today was from the fluffy breed, so I’d love to try some from the silky suri as well!
ОтветитьGreat information!
ОтветитьLove the alpaca yarn, makes beautiful hats!
ОтветитьHow many skeins do you get from 1 alpaca sheering?
ОтветитьGreat vid. Just starting to investigate shifting from a city-slicker to an alpaca farmer down here in Australia. Good to gain information like this. A lot of research to go! Looks amazing.
ОтветитьGood videos guys
ОтветитьHi! Just wondering how many yards are in one skein of your yarn and what is your price? Thanks!
ОтветитьWhere can i see colors and animals together and prices for skeins?
ОтветитьIdk what you are earning per skein, but it seems like you must be losing money... my quick math says you'd have to make over $25/skein just to break even, and that is higher than standard... if you have 2 runs of 270 skeins, you might be able to earn a bit, I suppose.... but ouch
ОтветитьThey are all so cute.
Ответить😁💗❣
ОтветитьI have a jacket made from alpaca wool
ОтветитьThe Suri "drapes" more than the Huacaya. Have you thought of selling raw fleece to us spinners? We like to source directly with small growers. ;-) We also do contract spinning for growers to resell homespun. Best wishes from the greatest hay state- Vermont!
ОтветитьYou know you could learn to process your own fiber and spin your own yarn.. Just saying. =)
ОтветитьYou deworm with the exact same drug every single month?? I have never heard such a thing. Aren't you worried about building up resistance? Why are they dewormed so much when ivermectin has such a long withdrawal time? Do alpacas just have really crappy pest resistance?
Ответить50 bucks to shear one animal?! Ohhhhhh, man. My sheep dude charges 4 bucks a head, damn! (I always tip him nicely because I think that's crazy low, but still... 50?!)
ОтветитьYou guys seem cool
ОтветитьVery interesting! Enjoy the lovely alpacas.💕
ОтветитьEveryone wants to buy yarn of your alpacas. It is the best yarn. 💕
ОтветитьSo what was the grand total for costs for a year growing yarn?
ОтветитьAww how could u not touch them. Cuteness overload
Ответитьmuch ado about nothing! in salvation army i will collect your yarn for 3$ each/////
ОтветитьDid I miss the bit where you say how much you make from the fibre?
ОтветитьVery informative, thank you! One thing is you covered costs but it'd be to know to know income. How much does a skein sell for and how much does it cost to produce one? It'd be good to know a per-piece ratio to put all the costs in perspective. Thanks much. Very cute and informative.
ОтветитьInspiring. Thank you
ОтветитьWith deworming so often are you not worried about dewormer resistance
ОтветитьHow much does each animal produce in a year?
ОтветитьHow ridiculous are those ears
ОтветитьSo the reason why they try to have minimal contact with the herd is to I believe reduce the risk of Male Berzerker Syndrome. This occurs when the farmer bottle feeds the alpaca and it imprints onto whomever is feeding it, and thus, once they become an adult, they see you as an equal, not as something that is owner/pet.
The white alpacas and their racist toenails. Also, Ivermectin once a month?? What the MG per KG/CC that is normally drawn up? From what I've also seen and heard, Alpacas aren't the smartest tools in the shed, as the lights are on but no one is ever home. Also, dude chasing the baby alpaca around to scratch it's ass is funny.
why your not suppose to touch the little one who fluffy while?
ОтветитьSo your in California? I was thinking of getting prob 3 of them to eat our grass. We have so much grass but nothing to eat it.
ОтветитьWhat about the dental care
Ответить🌸💗🌸
ОтветитьHow do you decide the end price of a skein of yarn ready to sell? I am asking, because I am planning to get into the homemade soap business as a next step from hobby level. Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьIs there a specific reason you shouldnt touch them?
ОтветитьDude, your ear plugs look — how should I say this —
…ridiculous. 🤭
Great informative video. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьWhat’s the yarn worth ?
ОтветитьI bet that Pumpkin & Marshmallow combination drapes beautifully when knit into a garment.
ОтветитьJust a heads up… you probably already know… but no one is going to want ivermectin treated manure as most of it passes through and takes quite a while to degrade, meanwhile killing all the earthworms and other beneficial bugs in the soil.
