Can it beat Sound Blaster PLAY! 3 A $20 USB Dac/Amp on Amazon that can drive up to 300 Ohm headphones. Drives my DT 1990 Pro's on my MacBook Pro no sweat. The best thing about this Dac/Amp is it has a control panel you DL to your PC and it has all kinds of pre set Sound Signatures to choose from and an EQ to customize your own Sound Signature Profiles. Total steal for a Dac/Amp at $20 as is this Lusya Fever you reviewed. Bottom line is you don't need to pay $100 bucks or more for a quality portable Dac/Amp.

I never used a USB DAC. how is the audio latency compared with onboard audio? . I have a shit ALC887 , so this DAC would be very useful for me, my only concern is about latency, because my 1st priority is gaming.

I have a Sabaj DA1 (SMSL and them are the same), it was okay for the price but it had a serious static issue. It was so damn sensitive.

somehow managed to grab a Audioquest Dragonfly Red for $60 shipped (gently used). needless to say for 60 USD the DF Red is very much nice for the money.

I'm looking for a DAC to use it with my stereo integrated amp which doesn't have any digital inputs, only analog RCA (it's an older stereo amp). Would you recommend this as a sort of a budget option since l'd be using my laptop as a source along with a splitter for connecting the RCA cables, or would you be more inclined to FX Audio DACs? I've noticed that at the end of your text review you state the SNR as 93 dB, but looking on ebay, sellers are saying it is 127 dB (I think the Sabre ES9018K2M chip has an SNR of 127dB but the implementation may lower that.). Did you measure it at 93 dB, or do you think it has been updated and improved? That's a huge margin of difference. Thanks again.

I bought one of these for £24.77. It was the cheapest I could find on ebay after VAT was added. I was having problems with sibilance and a harsh treble on my PC's integrated sound. All the harshness is gone and the dynamics are much more realistic. It sounds like an expensive sound card for a much cheaper price. Thanks again for the review.

I just got one of these and it didn't work in my phone until i attached it to a powered USB hub. It seems the DAC draws a lot of power.

Bought the Lusya and really like it on my PC. Much better sound for music then my GoXLR, which I use for streaming. But one question, you wrote it has 23bis/96kHz but if I play songs via Amazon Music HD in ultra HD the song eg is 24bit/96kHz but it shows that the Lusya is only 48kHz? All my other DAC are shown correctly. So it is really capable of 96kHz?

I bought a Sennheiser HD 599 headphones recently and then plugged them to my pc and just one of the drives sounds. I guess that the power of the pc is not enough to these headphones. So, with this product can I enjoy my new headphones?

I can confirm, mids are a little bit ressed but smooth (it can do a sense of better soundstage and separation) highs and treble are not harsh also, bass are punchy and to my biggest surprise it can actually drive the dt 770pro 80ohm pretty good, not ton of volume to spare but bass is fast and punchy almost like on the 770pro/xduoo 05plus combo!!!. When u have some full size headphones that can be driven with reasonable amount of power but u have no money to spend, this dac is a very good starter.

in aliexpress says SA9023A, is it different than yours?

How about using it with samsung phone and bgo through with rca interconect to my integrated amp? Does it work is it still good or better than dragonfly black or red?

that distortion is just jitter.... that device was not meant to be used as a preamp...

the other is that that DAC provides more than 1.5V line voltages wich is not safe for the amplifiers and some will distort

Thankyou very much for your review. It sounds incredible that linked with your stereo amplifier it sounds better with a sound volume 75% that 100%. It's not logical. Why do you think it can happen? Maybe it's a impedence problem?

I tested this DAC connected to my tube amplifier and compared with DragonFly black and in my opinion the DragonFly Black is little better.

Is this still your favorite budget synergy for the Takstar Pro 82? I can't decide between that and the Avani (have you tried Avani or Abigail?).
