There... just like that... Daniel playing 1200 measures by memory. What else can I say that was not said in the comments already about this monumental piece.
ОтветитьAm here cause of king of pride😅
ОтветитьГениально!!!!
ОтветитьWas für ein Meisterspieler.
ОтветитьPeople here because of the book King of Pride by Anna Huang!!!!
ОтветитьAm i the only one who came here after reading king of pride by ana huang??😭
ОтветитьBarenboim brings every quality necessary to bear in playing this piece: delicacy, wit, poignant expressiveness and something else that is hard to put one's finger on. But that's what great art does, it allows you to inhabit a place where words are inadequate. Brilliant playing.
ОтветитьThis first movement is so slow!! Beethoven had it marked up at 138 should be twice this speed!!
ОтветитьDaniel did miss a lot of notes actually 😀
But maaan what a performance
I love this so much. ❤
Ответить"Whatever is difficult is also beautiful, great & good. And his attitude towards the frailty of the human body, not to mention nerves, was Olympian."
~Herr Beethoven ✨️🙌🎹💖
Good day. It's so gradiozo sonate Beethoven's. I am really glad every time when I hear it. ❤

Amazing!!!
ОтветитьWhy does everyone say this is so hard to play? It worked just fine on my phone
ОтветитьIF ANYONE REINCARNATES LUDWIG IN OUR GENERATION IT CAN ONLY BE MAESTRO BARENBOIM
AND THIS GLORIOUS RECITAL CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES THAT FACT
BONZA DANIEL BONZA
Possible one of the most unmusical pieces ever. It’s not even atonal (and there are some marvelous works in that genre) it’s just cacophonous. Some of the rhythmic motives are compelling but the harmonies and dissonances just don’t work. They don’t add up to a coherent sound experience.
ОтветитьKdaj bo nova pesem😢
ОтветитьI received a record of Andor Foldes playing this, plus Les Adiex and Patetique when I was 13 years old. I worked at playing two of these and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata - adore its 3rd movement. I never achieved anywhere near where I needed to be for Beethoven but I long, in my advancing years, to access a piano long enough to give a chance to re-attempt all of these most wonderful works. Thank you so much for this wonderful video 💐💐💐
ОтветитьDaniel Barenboim one of all time most accomplished musicians..a true Genius and a great man. God bless him and thanks for this rendering of one of the most difficult piano pieces ever written!
ОтветитьI just CANNOT believe that this masterpiece was composed by a deaf man. Imagine being able to hear this only in your head, and then commit it all to paper. Stupendous !
ОтветитьI literally just came here cuz of king of pride 😔😔🙏🙏
ОтветитьImpresionante ! Bravo Daniel ! Bárbaro, dicen por allá !

Ответить50 minutes is crazy
Ответитьishhhh playing the last mvt seems so painful for him

ОтветитьЯ слушала и смотрела в окно на большое небо , оно менялось вместе с музыкой, рождалась молитва и это было прекрасно!
ОтветитьHere bc of king of pride 😔😭🙏
ОтветитьSo many here for other reasons, and then there’s me here because Dorothy got her & Ma tickets in Golden Girls season 7, episode 1. 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьБожественно❤
ОтветитьWhat a great performance, and a great master work. Thank you very much. I am going to attend a performance this Sunday of this piece. :)
ОтветитьOnly those into classical music will have listened to this masterpiece from start to finish. It deserves to have a wider audience as it's a truly epic competition. But it won't attract those who've only ever listened to Clair de lune and the moonlight sonata. Remember Beethoven was deaf when he committed this to paper. That makes it a truly astonishing human achievement.

ОтветитьBeethoven's sonatas are the absolute pinnacle of this genre. Genius!
ОтветитьWho is here because of King of Pride?😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьOnce I start to listen to the 3rd movement, I find no exit from this piece. My heart cries along with the irresitable notes.
ОтветитьI find this interpretation very espressive but too slow in the first time. However a very good execution
ОтветитьLucky me saw Maestro Barenboim play this live years ago
