YE AND Ebay controls this guys store and livelihood meaning Ebay can take him out at anytime they want and shut down and suspend him at anytime they want. This is typical of Ebays business model. Why would i want to use a platform such as this? Look at all the people who have lost their incomes because the ebay bot decided to flag his items!!!!!!!

Of course he cares about money. He wouldn't have spent 15 years of his life grinding away, not going on vacations, not sleeping, not spending time with his family etc. if money wasn't important. He should donate all of the money he has made in the past 15 years to charity if money isn't important to him. Be honest with people. It's fine if you are motivated by "winning" on eBay but if loads of money wasn't behind this "winning" then you wouldn't give a crap about winning. If you want to buy real estate, travel, etc. you still need that money to live the life of your dreams, so stop saying money isn't important or you don't care about it. Also, stating that you only spent $8 on food does not prove you don't care about money it says you are frugal which implies you care a great deal about money. We all want things, experience, comfort, quality of life etc. and right now in this world you need money to achieve those dreams, not bartering or robbing. Be real.

I’ve sold on EBay since the 90s. (In the US 🇺🇸) and I’ve never heard the term “reseller.” Lol. The people I know will just say, “I sell on EBay.” I suspect people want to move away from the idea of “used” that “reseller” implies. Not a big deal I just find it interesting. I sold some clothes and high end hiking boots ($300+ each) over 20 years ago and will NEVER touch that shiet again. Clothing sellers are bottom of the barrel nowadays.
Tech is just like Daily: "you have to listen to exactly what I say or you are garbage" Or "Only sell one specific kind of item" Yeah man, that's why all the big box stores fail, right?

I agree with almost 100% of what he said. But ebay is not my identity. Not even close. Ebay is what I do in order to do that things that identify me.

Great interview! I wouldn't mind doing tons of listings a day but what about store sell through rate, (not item STR.) Isn't it better to not list too many items? Because low STR means lower product visibility.

Do you recommend doing an LLC once the store grows?

I think the only way to scale a resell business on ebay is not to list more items per day, but to find popular items and scale more quantity. If I can sell 100 of the same items, it's faster than listing 100 different items on your store.
