While Black Americans undoubtedly face systemic racism and inequality, comparing their struggles to the oppression faced by people in Iran is misguided and ignores the stark realities of life under an authoritarian theocracy. In Iran, citizens endure severe restrictions on free speech, women’s rights, and political dissent, with violent crackdowns on protests, forced hijab laws, and executions for minor offenses. Meanwhile, Black Americans, despite historical and ongoing injustices, have constitutional rights, legal protections, and the ability to advocate for change—privileges Iranians risk their lives for. Equating the two overlooks the scale of state violence, lack of basic freedoms, and economic collapse under sanctions that define life in Iran. Both struggles deserve attention, but they are NOT equivalent. Whoopi you need to do better!

Israel has and is attacking Iran, but in the hope that DJT jumps in to finish the job.
