My school gave them out in like 2009 i think. MIne sadly was broken and i got an Acer Aspire one as an replacement. But the Memorys with that laptop are epic even tough mine ran an old Linux and wasnt that powerfull.
ОтветитьI saw this video, and just had to dust off the 1005HAB Eee PC in my collection (Best Buy exclusive with blue lid). I used it years ago when I travelled, and couldn't seem to part with it. It also has the Atom N270, but I upgraded it to 2GB RAM and 32GB SSD. I had upgraded it to Windows 10 at one point, but it was not a pleasant experience. I then went to Lubuntu, which worked well. When booting today, I found that I upgraded it to Mint at some point. It is snappy in the OS, but is a slug online. It's a shame, because it still looks brand new.
ОтветитьI remember Dell had their own versions and they were just as sad.
Ответить20 dollarydoos?! That's more than how much international shipping costs inside Europe.
ОтветитьDank pods 😂

ОтветитьI smell a nugget
ОтветитьThis laptop was made by Asus why wasn't that stated???
ОтветитьThe Eee PC 1001 was my first laptop. My memories of it is that it sucked.
ОтветитьI never owned an Eee PC, but I did own a Dell Mini Inspiron 1018 and a Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 and currently own an LG X110 and, my favorite, an ASUS N10J with dedicated graphics (GeForce 9300). I really enjoy netbooks, despite being incredibly under powered even when they were brand new.

ОтветитьIf this man would see someone lying down on the street in need of urgent medical help, I am sure he could somehow fix the problem with Eucalyptus Oil, which I assume he always carries a bottle of it with him, lol.
ОтветитьAww why not Windows XP 😥
Ответитьcan i buy this off u
ОтветитьI once got a working XP laptop for $1 at garage sale!
ОтветитьEeee? More like they forgot a w : Eeeew !

It had the same cpu that your eeepc has and i remember it was slow. But sadlyi accidentally hit te eeepc and the hinge broke an the screen. I really really regret that
ОтветитьHello, what’s the tool name that you use to collect the dust, and is it on Amazon?
ОтветитьAfter showing that the trackpad is terrible you should've used a mouse! It was painful to watch
There are lighter distributions out there, i'd buy one around that price to tinker with
Cool 😎
ОтветитьI remember having one when i was younger, but because of my anger issues i broke the thing twice.
ОтветитьFor electronics cleaning I usually use denatured alcohol (in the US it's where the acetone and stove fuel are in Walmart and the like). Isopropyl intended for medical use is diluted, denatured is 100% pure. Just be careful using it near soft/old plastics as it can etch/dissolve certain materials. Never seen eucalyptus oil here so can't comment on it, though Simple Green/Sprayaway aerosol foam glass cleaner works well for me.
ОтветитьI had one of these in 2013 and it was a steaming pile back then, can't imagine it now
ОтветитьI got an Asus eee pc 1015 px, the fan broke, but the laptop was so slow when the fan still worked, it came with windows 7 Basic, but when i reinstalled windows 7 basic, it was so painfully slow with basic tasks, it has an intel atom n570 so that explains
Ответитьfellas keep in mind ubuntu 14.04 from 2014 still has support till the end of this year and runs on 256mb of ram :3
ОтветитьFew in our school bought Eee PCs when they were introduced. Best thing about them? Being able to show others how small the laptop is, being size of a textbook.
Ответитьhave a Asus Seashell eeec from 2009 its white color all over but in the last two years or so the keys has gotten a yellow tint to them
ОтветитьI nearly bought one, many years ago. I didn't though. I could probably make one now using Raspberry Pi or Arduino components.
ОтветитьAcer Aspire One 751h, 2011, summer which I never ever forget that summer.
Ответитьtry 32bit xp home edition
ОтветитьDon't try to take that power bank on an airplane!!
ОтветитьMY first EEE PC in 2009 was the 1000 i.e 8GB and 32GB ssds, used it for years bricked on attempted ram upgrade. Years later they were cheap so bought another, and another, now have three dozen, I put LMDE on them, have been using three of the eee pc 4g with lmde with mate desktop and rtp multicast for multiroom audio sync, also have a few 101ch, which I took with me on a date to Glastonbury for music, but used to also use the 101ch to xz compress the 4G disk images.
The 1000 HG has a sim card slot!
The 2G surf is fun to put on raid 0 with a fast sd card.
I HATE THE EEE PEE CEE
ОтветитьI loved Netbooks back in the day. I used to buy Dell netbooks and turn them into tri-boot (Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux) Hackintoshes. My first netbook was an EEE PC.
ОтветитьI have a 1001px, it was my first computer. I've also upgraded the ram and ssd, I installed Windows XP on it becouse it struggles with 7 too. It runs GTA Vice City, Age of Mythology and Lego Island well. It comes handy when I want to mess with XP, just for the feel.
