That part where you introduce yourself with respect to metronome just made my life easier and was the answer of a question which I looked for years already ❤
ОтветитьWow! Such a unique lesson on YT!! Nobody mentioned on YT that the heart needs to take it slow! Thanks, David for the different mindset a guitarist must have while playing licks/soloing.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьFantastic how so we get the backing track
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic and under addressed topic. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you sir i had fun following you
ОтветитьYou said something that hit me right between my guitar playing brain!
If you haven’t done much studio time or are about to go into the studio for you’re first time, OR played on studio tracks and absolutely hated it, because I prefer playing live, however I recall laying a solo track down on a song early on in my career, I just threw in what I thought would be hot, kinda flashy (show off a bit) I’ll never forget the studio engineer say in my headset “Hey Greg, on the solo…think Clapton” I got what he meant and all was good.
I think one of the best lessons in playing a solo or lead in intro is to introduce yourself! Just like you said. Play, if you will “Hi, my name is Greg”. Fit the song. On a slow kind of bluesy song you want a remembered hook (on guitar) that pops its head up in the mix just enough for the listener to almost pass by it but in reality it’s going to come back and be recognizable, and identifiable concerning you as an artist.
Wow deep, but I thought that was an outstanding takeaway from this video. Hope this makes sense. I haven’t finished the entire video but really enjoying this! Thanks man

Ответитьi love playing in church as well
ОтветитьThis guys feels music.
ОтветитьJust get a fender without all that processing in the tone honestly, simple tube Marshall and even a budget Mexican strat would sound cooler
Ответитьthis was insane!
ОтветитьAwesome "formula"!!! I'm just researching soloing, and this is so cool! No rushing to speak, but slow to speak holding the suspense! Great!
ОтветитьLoved this video. I've been playing for a little over six months and this really will help me out of playing more mechanically!
ОтветитьDavid Gilmore, Neal Schon, Eric Clapton really come to mind

ОтветитьThis is an absolutely fantastic lesson. Thank you 😊
Ответитьhas this worked for anyone?
ОтветитьExcellent...
When you did your 2 versions of 'Hello, my name is David', Pink Floyd immediately came to mind for the 2nd version - very effective example.
Great video. Thanks .
ОтветитьOut of all the guitar tutorials I’ve watched over the years regarding soloing. This had to be the most well explained video of all. Phrasing, lazy playing like Hendrix, non-mechanical, telling a story. Man… This is exactly what I need to add to my playing. Thank you sir for the master lesson!
ОтветитьHappy Christmas and New Year to you and yours!
ОтветитьYou deserve millions of subscribers
ОтветитьYeHoVaH Yeshua, brother, search the Scriptures. Exodus 6:2-3 & Isaiah 12:2, Psalm 132:11 but there are so many. Appreciate your videos.

Ответитьhi david ty for a the lesson ... u answered questions i have asked my self for so long...... could u please tell me what pedal u are using to get that great sound cheers ..from australia
ОтветитьDavid when you played your heart sound out came.......Pink Floyd! Thats why floyd is so huge.....it's an experience of emotions of sounds talking from the heart and then...the soul. We are the wandering angst filled notes lost in hardships and survival of a universe on the edge of oblivion.
ОтветитьI was searching for these tecniques, melodic guitar sound. Thank you.......
Ответитьi like the way you explain things. it's exactly what I'm looking for.. I'm gonna try this... thanks.. 🎵😊🎸
