Does this mean NO Linux support for C++?

Problem is Embarcadero is disconnected from the reality - being a user of the C++ Builder for 20+ years. Their Firebird project is simply a waste of time - all mobile storage is now at Amazon AWS (DynamoDB) or Google Cloud (Datastore) - yet Embarcadero has no (working and reliable) support for this. Their REST solutions based on Datasnap is also a waste of time, where everybody knows Datasnap cannot scale and has serious problems of reliability - have you ever heard about Amazon AWS ? 4K EUR yearly to use C++ Builder with Firemonkey, who is going to pay that ? Enterprises do not use Embarcadero cause they cannot scale, are off stream and do not support Google or Amazon, cant get staff who can support the products since there are no one developing with it. Too expensive for the developers ---> there are no one to support or develop ! -----> dead horse.

so will Firemonkey FINALLY support BiDi\Right-To-Left languages...????????????????????

Probably the most serious failure of Embarcadero was to waste recources and time on building their own home brew REST and database services - instead of focussing on supporting Amazon and Google Cloud with institutional reliability. No doubt the future is sever-less, scalable and fully managed solutions.
Yet Embarcadero is moving in a total opposite direction, offering a REST server of their own which cannot scale, which has to be managed and replicated - database solution which cannot scale, and which also has to be managed and replicated. The next from Embarcadero could be now they want to make a new "Amazon Cloud" and compete with Google and Amazon - which will for good flunk Embarcadero. Can this be a more clear message to the team at Embarcadero ?

just wanted to say that your IDE is disconnected from the user reality. take a close look at other IDEs available in 2017 and check the fine details that they offer to the user to make their time more productive. only after that you should start adding new features.
you could even start with lazarus. the team there improved exactly what you are missing in terms of IDE as most of the team was aware of the bad user experience by using your IDE at some point in time.

No USB Comport component compared to Visual studio

Delphi is really good language, IDE(some improvement needed and stability fixes) and many platform support environment. It suport Windows 32, 64, Android, IOS, OSX, Linux servers. I like it very much. But one point minus is marceting and terible product support - also payed. I don't understand why there's so many haters.

Our company has now decided to ban Embarcadero software products - we are not allowed anymore to use Embarcadero software. The reason is the continuing beta state and bugs, combined with the extreamly expensive pay-to-play scheme not getting anywhere where bugs are replaced with new bugs.

Afraid I must agree with previous comments.  You folks really should think about springing for a professional speaker or the like to host your presentations.  A couple of the speakers were so bad I had to bail.

Embarcadero is pursuing a nasty strategy of falsely accusing people of missusing the community edition. They don't supply details, just send very aggresive threats and use Idera Inc. to send a bill of many thousand dollars. All this done years later than the supposed missuse happened. So, beware of this company of thugs!
