STS127 Ascent Hi Lites

I read in a book that the astronauts call the External Tank "the worlds largest throw away cold drinks can".

At 7:16 ish is that a rocket exhaust I see? I didn't know the ET had reaction control engines? what the...?

@marmaladekamikaze it is just a vent open on the tank, not an active control reaction jet.

@teodormafia probably just some foam or ice, nothing to worry about at that point in the mission.

@interbartolo Ah I've since looked it up, they're oxygen vents to help orient the tank so that it doesn't tumble that much on reentry.

You had me wondering if my sound was working for a while there! Different and pretty neat having just the sound of a Space Shuttle in flight alone. Cheers!
