Handmade Light Fixture | This Old House

I'm hoping to GOD that that's not what the final fixtures will look like. Exposed wires? Why are the bulb sockets so tall? I'm guessing the fixture wasn't finished... why didn't you guys show the final product. Would have been nice to see - almost necessary.

There was a guy down south that made Carriage lamps, he had all the cool jigs and knowlege for making lamps from scratch

Unless there is a 10ft or 12ft or higher ceiling over the dining table, anyone who hangs a chandelier above the dining table is asking for headaches--literally.

In my 22 years installing handmade light fixtures
I find they are cheaply built
With cheap materials
Difficult to install
Easily broken and overly priced !
Many are not UL Listed.
But if it lets you feel important
And rich spend the money.
What do I know right

I want to see the budget on this project. Has to be in the millions...
