Augsburg's Keeper Marwin Hitz: Regrets Unsporting Behaviour

In the game between 1. FC Köln and FC Augsburg, Köln were awarded a penalty with the scores level at 0-0. Before Köln’s striker Anthony Modeste was able to take it, Augsburg’s keeper Marwin Hitz busies himself 'preparing' the penalty spot. With the back of his football boot, he loosens the grass around the spot - the same spot where the Köln striker would place his standing foot just seconds later. And what happened next wouldn’t look out of place in a film. Anthony Modeste slips, and Marwin Hitz is able to save his penalty. After the game Marwin Hitz regretted his decision, saying: "It was not alright, and it won’t happen again." The game ended 1-0 to Augsburg.
