Thanks man!
ОтветитьI like this guy! Right to the point. Nothing fancy, just good, clear info!
ОтветитьI didn’t use the primer but just the glue. I put plenty of glue on and pushed the pipes together. The smell is potent of that glue! Did I do it correctly? Thanks
ОтветитьJust what I needed! Thank you
ОтветитьYou had me at .." It can even cause a clog!"
ОтветитьAmazing Game!
ОтветитьGreat video brother thats good stuff bro thanks buddy
ОтветитьHow long to you let the primer set/dry before you can apply glue?
ОтветитьHoly crap, did I do it wrong! I had 6 fittings leak because I just didn't know what I was doing, and I felt so confident. My Husky PVC cutter cut super straight, which was surprising.
ОтветитьGreat video! Informative and concise.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьTo the point, good job. 10/10
ОтветитьI have a question I'm wanting to bend a 3" 5' pvc pipe and I capped both ends already is it dangerous for me to use a heat gun just enough for me to Bend it a few inches 😅 I'm thinking not and probably need to jist buy new pipes but hopefully not
ОтветитьYup watched video then got ready then watched video then glued pipe in place very helpful reminder of basics it's been awhile
Ответитьthe best of the best
ОтветитьNever used primer, always worked out for me. Had to use a glue and primer 2in1 and that’s when I had it leak on me.
ОтветитьBig help!
ОтветитьAnyone got unintentional ASMR when adding the glue and primer?
This vid did perfect 🥂!!
Kuphal Hollow
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьAwesome video; thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you for posting. Very clear instructions and I am glad I watched!
ОтветитьWhat do you do if you're working with pipes that you can't turn when you glue them
ОтветитьI did your 5 steps putting together some sprinkler valves and it work amazingly.. thank you very much
ОтветитьUnreal. Thank you so much for the clear instructions
ОтветитьI just did a DIY but found maybe I didn't apply enough primer. The joint is leaking. Is there a way I can fix it without cutting into the pipe and replacing everything?
ОтветитьThankyou, I'm in Australia and knew this method was 100% correct as soon as I saw it, I learned this at a trades college almost 30 years ago and had simply forgotten from actually never doing it a single time in that 30 years. I'm not sure if the type of products you used have the same name in the Australian market as often enough terminology changes between countries but I'm absolutely positive that it's the same sort of stuff.
ОтветитьThe crazy thing is ive done this like 5 times in my life and its always worked perfectly. Im trying to do it right now and it just wont stick. I can just pull the pipe right back apart. I cant for the life of me figure out what's wrong, especially seeing as ive done this multiple times before with no issues
ОтветитьMaybe you could say whether outside temperature affects the glue setting??it's about 40 outside right now, I just had to set up a project w.pvc. learned the hard way about those ratcheting cutters not cutting square.
ОтветитьI've done a million PVC glue jobs and never had a leak. My only problem is I get the purple stuff all over the pipe and have never figured out how to make it neat.
ОтветитьThanks, Never thought about beveling. This is the first time I've used the primer. I usually just use the the Red Hot blue glue. But since I'm building the manifold and everything I decided to use the primer in conjunction with the clear general purpose glue.
ОтветитьGreat video and great information
Ответитьgreat stuff, thanks
Ответитьgood info ,intelligently presented. Thanks
ОтветитьThe best one i watched about this topic. Thanks.
ОтветитьGreat explanation and great job staying focused on the subject.
ОтветитьGreat information thx you
ОтветитьOatey says to make two applications of primer in the hub and one on the pipe, and two applications of glue on the pipe and one in the hub. Do you find that not necessary?
Ответитьthanks for the lesson =)
ОтветитьWhat you are unable to perform the 1/4 turn, will the join fail?
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьGood grief.... I wish I had seen this before I put down my 2-in PVC pipes around the swimming pool filter. They all leak.
Ответить👍. What grit sandpaper did you use?
ОтветитьThank you not only for making a video teaching how to do this, but for making it quick and straightforward without any extraneous detail. Breath of fresh air. Super helpful for me!
ОтветитьThis was a great, short primer (pun intended) on how to do this. It's been over a decade since I've done any PVC projects and now I have a pressing repair to do, so this was super useful as a refresher.
ОтветитьGreat video! For the primer phase, you appeared to go around the circumference of each fitting about 5 times! Is this a good rule of thumb? Thx!
ОтветитьTHANKS UNCLE FRED!!
