It’s all in how you want to play. Crank up the damage or the defensive skills whichever way you want. Def boost is definitely one of the last def skill picks though as far as effectiveness. It can stack well with others though.

there is something wrong with my lvl 7 def boost, I dont get extra 10% , I have lvl 7 def, but I get extra 10 pkt, not % wich is huge diffrents... I play on ps4 but diffrent language , is possible there is error in just txt ? but stats are the same ?

I feel like testing any build while in multiplayer is like not testing it at all, the monster has barely any chance to hit you there with so many targets and flinches and stuns and exhausts... This build would surely have more value ina solo enviroment.

I just watched your def builds on the PS4 and I have to ask why didn't use the highest def armor set? Shield-Weaver armor can reach 1950 def and 2500 def with 2 procs of fortify. Here is the build

If you’re struggling with damage why don’t you just go with defensive skills like the guts skill with the MR Luna weapons, for that extra wall

defense boost 7 is trash , augment ur builds and divine blessing secret

Use Damascus Helm B, and slot in a Hard Defense lvl4 Gem and one defense lvl1 to get you to Defense 7.

Me: Why bother with defense boost if i can just pull out fire Mantle since it literally reduces the the fire damage which is waaaay better than the actual fire res skill

I've seen some screenshots from some guy on xbox that have your hunter name and builds on them. Whenever he screenshots builds, he's basically telling people that they're unoptimal and shit. Lunas nova is kinda tricky, its not the same as usual damage. I think def+ and divine bless are less effective than using fire res+, heat res, fire mantle

you said full D..grab yourself a SnS/GL/Lance, put a guard up and boom..you got THE Defense meta. you can take any hit, block any hit, and with stand any hit like a man.

Guys, Defense up and the Elemental Defense Skills are a Trap.
