I worked briefly in a textile factory in Shaoxing and one day my assistant told me that she had obtained 'permission' from the boss to sleep in the factory and she was happy to say that he even bought her a mat for the floor to sleep on. I asked why she was so happy and she told me that she had to cycle two hours to work each day and now to thank her boss she could stay later and work more !
