Its beautiful there man. The Komodo looks mad. Which of these two makes crawling easier - A. soft squishy tyres or B. soft stretchy shocks?

Nice video and good to learn about shock tuning. I never did like the way many crawlers wiggle on their soft shocks and now I learned there is a different way. Which would you pick; Komodo vs Wraith and why?

Yet another super informative video Aaron!!! Working on 1:1 Suspensions most of my life, I've learned a lot, even how to transfer that knowledge into Tiny Trucks!
You're so right about "flex". It however, is necessary....TO A POINT. You've got that Rig dialed in where the Suspension will softly Droop - without taking the REST of the Truck with it!! 👍👍

SO MANY N00BS think that their Suspension should be fully topped out at rest!! Tell me, when was the last time you saw any vehicle coming down off of a Lift at a Shop - and NOT see the Body drop at all?? 😱
Too firm is just as bad as too soft. I try to educate people about that, and I can see that you DEFINITELY do that every chance you get!

While Building my Wraith, I chose 1.2lb Springs for the Rear.... Two guys at the Hobby Shop looked at me like I was stupid! 😬
WELL, I moved the Battery up front. I mounted a Light Bar, forward of Center. My ESC and Light Controller are up front, under the Hood...
The ONLY sprung weight AFT of Center, are Light Buckets, and a small Rear Bumper. What would YOU do?

I put 2.75lb Springs up front, and when I place her on the ground, she Droops slightly over 1/2" - EVENLY front AND rear!!
There are SOME people, you just can't help.... I'm still learning that - even though I'm going to be 54 in less than 3 weeks!

I wonder if you might achieve a more scale suspension setup a different way?
No full scale car has dampers anywhere near close to that powerful.

Perhaps running shorter shocks, along with slightly higher spring rates and a touch of pre-load, while dramatically reducing damping could be enjoyable?

this is one of my all time favorite rc adventures video. the background/landscape is just beautiful. here in Alaska I live near a river and we have a trail system also running by it. very similar. very cool. kindered spirits.
