I am invested in running the thing and having the tracks loosen up rather than making a tool to punch the pins out (get me! I'm talking like I know what I'm talking about!!) and each episode it's not moving!
Well, it moved back & forth a little bit but I wanna see rust dust flying out of the tracks and then they work fine!
It would be fun to see you make and use a tool, though.

I am not a mechanic. But i have tinkered with cars for over 50 years. I have never completed a "Project" So the following is just a guy "Thinking" about how it MIGHT be. Start punching out the pins, allow yourself 4 weeks to finish. The first 10 nwill be a learning curve. Then you will find your stride during the next 10. You will do the last 50 as good as it gets. Then you will be done. BUT. That is just what it MIGHT be. Love your chanel. 👍

On the tracks. Take pressure washer to track chains. And immediately drive it around. Hook something behind it. Put a load on her. Thatll also help seat those new rings in.

I believe the original D4 seat had wood nails instead of clamps? To hold the leather covering in place? I will say your wife has done amazing job in editing the videos. The track is gonna be a huge bummer none the less. But there is no turning back now.

As I recall you said you got a little movement on those track pins after the water bath. If you got any movement at all, I am sure they will free up. When you get it running, why not leave the fenders off, Jack it up and run it in place. Maybe tightening the tracks a little at a time as they free up.
