I realize the official lyrics differ from this, but I've actually seen official lyrics that were obviously wrong, even inside the record sleeve. I cite Alice Cooper's "Mary Ann," where the sleeve lyrics included "I'm really crazy 'bout you 'deed I am," when the line obviously ends with "do what I can." You can still find references to the blatantly incorrect lyrics online.
Here's my take...

Chorus could literally be almost anything, ride on, play it on, lay it on, play along...I won't even try. I've just always gone with "play it on" because I believe I read it long ago. Yet given the known and/or likely lyrics (red tape, gaffer tape, cello(phane) wrap), the likely candidate is "lay it on," as in more layers.

I finished watching Underworld: Evolution yesterday, and I have to say that I am REALLY digging into this franchise! This one is my favorite so far, the first one was fantastic as well. Selene is such a freaking badass!
