I haven't finished either God of war or ragnarok, to many games on the go at the moment but the backlog is definitely going down fast. Obviously I didn't know loki revelation.....but I sat and thought oh "okay " lol that's that then hahahah . I've got two games to finish off now ,being astrobot and plague tale innocence and god of war is having it !
ОтветитьI couldn't bring myself to finish it, I got to the part where you talk to the dwarf with the octopus and called it quits. The game has some really strong pacing issues, and writing problems. The combat also felt a bit... weightless? meaningless? Like the encounters felt random, rather than well thought, like they were in the original 2018 game?
Like in the first game from 2018, the story and pacing had a point, the encounters made sense, there was a story driven the game. Here though? Just in the beginning we go from fighting Freya, to a bear, to freaking Thor -admittedly I enjoyed fighting this last one-, but the preceding scene from the Thor fight was so poorly directed; the actors do their job, but the whole scene felt unnatural? Like Thor serves himself a drink, then serves another one, kinda offers it to Atreus, he comes into the house but only after destroying the roof? Like what is going on...
What great timing! I just finished God of War (2018) yesterday! I’m keen for this
ОтветитьDidnt like this game. Bad difficulty settings, generic half baked open world and too much copy paste from the last game for me. That atreus chapter was so bad too. The rouguelike dlc was awesome though
ОтветитьThe game has been great for me so far other than the most bizarre controller bug I have ever experienced. Using a wireless controller was tanking my FPS by 50 to 60% as soon as I plugged it in the problem was gone.
ОтветитьOne of the few games I 100%, probably took around 60h on hardest difficulty, wonder how long Mort will take
Ответитьdoes anybody know how to fix the lock on jump around?
ОтветитьComment for Al Gore Rhythm.
ОтветитьAs a gaming father myself I'm very curious about new God of War. I haven't tried it yet but I am looking forward to your take.
ОтветитьWhy not playing on controller?
ОтветитьReally enjoyed the first game, but I struggle to stick with this one. Atreus continuously butting in to tell you where to go next and how to solve the simplest of puzzles is hard to bear and turns me off it every time I pick it up.
ОтветитьThis may be a big one. Gosh dang.
ОтветитьIt was meant to be a TRILOGY it's why it's so long. But games take so long to make and the actor playing Atreus was growing up so fast that it wouldn't / didn't make sense. So they smashed it into one long game.
ОтветитьGreat gameplay , but too much of a sob story for me. Story is disjointed and weird and the ending was nowhere near as epic as i expected , but that's my problem lol.
The story feels like a marvel movie drama rather than a Greek tragedy. I think Kratos should've sacrificed himself in the end to save others , instead he turned into papa Kratos , and it felt like Hallmark channel GOW.
Also too damn many side characters who don't bring anything of value into the story.
On the gameplay end of things I found Ragnarok to improve on the already solid foundation laid by the previous game. However, without spoiling things, I found the story to be a large disappointment. It is basically official news that the new GoW games were supposed to be a trilogy, and the story was already written. Cory Balrog unfortunately left the project due to burnout and the new director who took over decided to shorten the project and combine the next two games into one, rewriting most of the story to fit the new frame. While the writing still has some peaks, especially in the DLC, it's overall not as good as what it was, to me at least, and not in line with what it feels like the story should have been. Not necessarily bad, but it was disappointing to me, and to other people I've talked to.
ОтветитьThis was a disappointment from a story perspective compared to gow 2018. It sets up this amazing intricate story thar doesnt really ever soar. That said, still fun 🤷
Ответитьthe game has already cemented itself as a masterpiece ...its gonna be a blast
ОтветитьI love this game but I would probably wait for a sale cause I got so much on my plate and I’ve already platinum this game.
ОтветитьI have a 2060 6g and the performance of Ragnark is soooo good. I can run 100+fps with dlss and fsr frame gen and 80+fps with only dlss. It is much better than any other AAA games that I remember.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Never got into the series. The combat felt like button mashing, the RPG mechanics were mostly cosmetic, and the plots were always too over the top to become invested in. The series certainly found its audience, so I guess I'm just no it. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
ОтветитьMy favorite thing when I first started playing Ragnarok was that if you pay attention a lot of the moves from the first game that were Cooldown-Abilities are actually just straight up built in to your base moveset now.
ОтветитьAfter playing wukong for 20 hours i can say the god of war series combat feels a lot better. Its smoother you can cancel your light and heavy attacks if you need to dodge or parry. That’s god tier combat design. ❤ gow ftw!
ОтветитьI know it’s a small thing, but requiring PSN for a single player game just rubs me the wrong way
ОтветитьGronk!
ОтветитьI took 124 hours to 100% the game. I wanted to see everything. Best game I’ve ever played in my entire life
ОтветитьI actually really loved the platinum for this game. It was pretty simple, not grindy and a lot more story beats play out the more you do . Plus playing the game with Valhalla added is definitely a fantastic bonus
ОтветитьLove this game. It’s an emotional roller coaster. Especially as a dad
ОтветитьHow did you change to fix the jumping issue between lock on mode? I tried multiple changes and settings but it stayed bad
ОтветитьHi guys im playing on my rx 5700xt on medium settings but its stuttery. Are you experiencing the same?
ОтветитьBlack Myth Wukong has been appreciated for me God of War
ОтветитьDo you ever sleep mate 😂
Ответитьplayed it twice on PS5, playing it now on PC... this game is, for me, god tier.
ОтветитьI'm playing it and i'm having a blast, it's as good as the 2018 one
ОтветитьThe shield variety alters your play style. Some are meant for high aggression, mobility and some are more defensive.
Play with all of them, they’re all fun to use.
Prefer the dauntless myself
I loved this game on PS4. The story is quite good, though there is a surprising amount of hemming and hawing from Kratos about whether to actually go on the revenge tour. There's a moment late in the story that genuinely floored me, even having spoiled myself on it and knew it was coming.
There are two very frustrating characters in the game. One of them is frustrating on purpose for plot reasons. The other one is frustrating because you don't really get enough time with him to go on his full emotional arc. I suspect this is a consequence of this game being the second and third parts of a trilogy jammed together; we might have gotten more time with him if they'd had another game to flesh him out. That said, I think making it one game instead of two was the right call.
I will say for me personally i do really like the games...fun and more cinematic, ...but i do like the gameplay of the ps2, ps3 games more as just that style appeals to me more....and i still feel so much more can be done with that
ОтветитьI played on PS5 but abandoned it when it became obvious that Atreus and Mimir would spoil all puzzles by telling me how to solve them within 10 seconds of arriving while I was still looking at the scenery. Don't suppose they've added a toggle to turn that off, have they?
Ответитьthe kid is insufferable
ОтветитьThis and Forbidden West were a similar experience for me. I absolutely loved the first one…the sequel was hitting just as hard…until about 50-60
hours in. Then I put it down and never picked it back up again.
Can’t put my finger on one reason…death by 1000 cuts. Mostly boring and I felt they both insulted my intelligence and wasted my time.
A lot more hand-holding with the puzzles…omg. Spend more than 60 seconds trying to figure something out??
“I wonder what these mirrors do?” 😡
Plus…a lot more “collect-a-thon” ubisoft-esque BS in this game too. Get all the things, hit all the bells, open all the trunks. Collecting just for the sake of collection, with no big reveal or reward at 100% - it’s disrespectful towards the player’s time and it makes me resent the game for exploiting our human instinct to gather and to complete.
It's been running mostly fine for me. No stutters (!), but reflex and HDR keeps turning off when I restart the game,, It's locked to stereo sound and not surround, and the loading zone runns pretty bad, and DLSS frame gen seemed to have issues in the first realm I traveled to, switched to FSR frame gen and that worked fine, with slightly worse image quality on HUD elements. But overall good. (i9 13900k, RTX 4070)
ОтветитьThe story and feel was amazing, as was the first one. It's wild how much the game has evolved from its origins and been so successful. It's not just larian studios who can tell great stories but a lot of these other big box shops just don't give a shit about what players want.
ОтветитьQuite liked this game back on ps5 , side content can be a little repetitive though.
ОтветитьThis one was a huge let down for me story wise, starts off incredibly strong then slogs around to an unimpressive end. The original was much better overall.
ОтветитьHow did you fix the lock on? Im strugeling with this so much
Ответитьthe game is so bloated imo. I still prefer the 1st one.
ОтветитьI haven’t had any PSN account login requests when loading in from Steam. Game is epic.
ОтветитьI played Ragnarok on the PS5 when it came out and had a really good time with it. A few chapters in it changes things up a bit (not going to spoil it) which I really enjoyed but a certain part of the fanbase were crying about. This change helps along the story and character developments and is one of the great additions vs. the previous game.
ОтветитьThis would have won game of the year most years.... but Elden ring still deserved it IMO. I'm looking forward to playing it again on PC, but why did it come out so close to the FF16 release?! Oh well... I suppose having too many good quality games to play isn't the worst problem to have
ОтветитьThe story is long as hell bro. So try taking your time or you are gonna get Burnt out FAST! P.S: Hope your Atreus tolerance level is quite high these days, you are gonna need it.
ОтветитьI felt like this one was a slog compared to the first one. I know I'm in the minority
