Coco Gauff & Taylor Fritz visit Rottnest Island ahead of United Cup｜Tennis｜Christmas｜Team USA

Just before the start of the United Cup in Perth, Australia WTA #3 Coco Gauff and ATP #4 Taylor Fritz took the opportunity to visit Rottnest Island, a natural reserve just offshore of the city, which is famous for being home to the quokka, a small marsupial that Gauff described as mix between a kangaroo and a mouse.

The 2025 United Cup will be the season opener for both ATP and WTA and will be held between December 27th and January 5th in Perth and Sydney with 18 teams taking part.

The United States will play in Group A in Perth with Canada and Croatia.

The six group winners and the best runner-up in each city will advance to the quarter-finals.

The 2024 edition was won by Germany, who defeated Poland 2-1 in the final.
