You're such a wonderful positive guy. I'm impressed with your know how!
ОтветитьMaybe we can relate to people who went through the great depression. Now i know why my dad saved all of his work boots.
Ответитьalex its Aaron from Calgary.
ОтветитьThat is one bee-utiful seat! You must be proud!
ОтветитьYou are one handy fella! The things you’ve learned to do!
I always respect the upholstery redos.
One can make threads in metal? Wow.
You could do a compilation video of the vehicles you’ve rehabbed. Just an idea.
Happy Easter!
ОтветитьGreat job! I look forward to see the completion of the Royce!! 😁
Ответить🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓👍👍👍👍👍👍🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

To solve it. Question did you say on last show live chat that your Father OR Someone died that you know, from Corvid-19 many thanks.
Hello Alex and everybody, could I ask an silly question...as someone who has family that have had British cars my dad had several 3 wheelers cars and my sister had a couple of traditional mini cars my dad was always says about the fuel cap but my question is does old American cars have similar problems? Best wishes, thinking of u Alex and your family at this very sad time, take care everyone
Ответить👍🏻👍🏻 Thumbs up Stephen! Archbold Family...you are held close in thoughts and prayers as you navigate these times. ❣️
ОтветитьAre you covering the car with a clothe or something to keep that nice paint from getting scratched when you are not working on it?
ОтветитьHappy Easter! Thanks for posting this update. I’m from California, and I love hearing you say “out”...not to make you feel self conscious, but you say it often and it’s very Canadian. Thanks for the 🙂
ОтветитьHAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
ОтветитьAlex, thanks for continuing to put out content. It is so helpful during this time. Always enjoy it. Best to you all and hoping for some Spring weather for ya.
ОтветитьThank you Alex and family. Thank you for sharing your difficult times and letting your you tube family know what's going on with your personal life. It is especially difficult I would think because it hasn't even been that long since you lost your own dad. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family and praying for all of you. You are strong and optimistic people which helps. Everyone mourns in their own way. Dave and your dad helped you on earth; they will undoubtedly help you from heaven as well! God Bless you all.
ОтветитьKeep doing it for you, Dave, your family and all of us who love you all! We will all get through this! It is touching home for many of us but it will be ok in the end! Keep doing what you are doing! Your daughter is soooo funny!!!! I can't wait for this car to be finished! So excited! While in partial isolation, because my husband and I still work as essential workers, I love your videos! Working with the public is a game of Russian roulette. So I love the break away from what I am doing. Thank you all! Stay safe! And keep putting that car back together please! P.S. I know the tools that you are using because I work in in auto pats for over thirteen years now! Love to see them! Check your ground wires!
ОтветитьThat's going to be a sweet car when it's completed, good job Alex.
ОтветитьAmazing! 💙❤💙
ОтветитьAlex - you continue to be an inspiration! This project was a...mess :) So much fun to watch step by step as you return it to it's Glory Days! What a talented man you are! Thank you for thinking of us and taking us along on your endeavors! Car looks BEAUTIFUL! Blessings to you and you lovely family!
ОтветитьGreat job so far i hope you all are doing well
ОтветитьMy condolences to your family Alex. You do so much for others - please take time for yourself and family, chum 👍🏽. Bravo on the rolls - it looks amazing! I’ll keep you and your family in my thoughts! Take care.
ОтветитьSorry for your loss to the virus. Glad you are making great progress while on lockdown! I'm commenting from NY. We all know your pain.
ОтветитьSo sorry to hear about your father in law
Terrible times
Yes your right that’s the wrong side for a passenger
Get it right !
Best wishes stay strong
So sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss. Stay safe.
ОтветитьI would’ve placed a carpet or drop cloth down while gluing the vinyl rather then being directly on your garage concrete floor. That’s just my preference.
ОтветитьAhhhhhhhh, the SU fuel pump ! Years ago I stopped roadside to help a lady with the bonnet up on her Mini. I laid down and gave the fuel pump a couple of taps with the ring end of a combination spanner. When I switched the ignition on I was rewarded with the tick tick sound of the pump working. It started straight away and the lady was very grateful. Unfortunately she was deaf which made things difficult for her. I wrote a little note for her husband and off she went.
ОтветитьI'm so impressed. Keep at it!
ОтветитьThe snow is just waiting to leave until you are ready to tool about town in the RR. The car is looking really great.
ОтветитьI absolutely love your videos.
ОтветитьAlex have you ever thought about using a Gopro with a head strap so you can use both hands? ❤
ОтветитьWhen I was watching this I was thinking how awesome it would be if you put all your bikes and cars in the section of the shop, the rolls, the caddy, clear out the garage of the bikes and hopefully put the alpha and impala in there also. If you still have the impala. But you get the idea. That would look so cool with the big glass door on the second half of the shop. Lotsa love from down under.
ОтветитьSuch a difference already. Great work Alex!
ОтветитьI really enjoy watching you renovate your old cars! I also miss seeing Dave helping you. 😢
ОтветитьHi thank you very much for keeping use entertained whilst we are on lock down. rely enjoying the show. It is 6.10 here in the Blackpool uk. regards Terry.
ОтветитьBeautiful job well done
ОтветитьAbsolute RUBBISH reupholstering work!
1. You used incorrect leather - it should be Connolly Vaumol.
2. The pleats should be full and plump - yours are flat and lifeless.
3. The bolsters should also be full and plump - and tight, with no wrinkles.
4. The piping should be taut and straight - yours isn’t.
This is a coachbuilt car, and renovating one requires great knowledge, skill and experience.
Doing some catch up with episodes. I was remembering older episodes and seeing your kids in this one, I see they are growing up fast now. Esp. the two youngest. :)
ОтветитьIt’s a good idea to lubricate the seat movement screw while the seats are out. Silicone brake lube works well.
ОтветитьIt’s interesting to see the seats together. In 75 they made the seat bottom removable, I guess so it can be replaced easily if it wears. They pop out like a couch cushion. Seats are still very heavy.
ОтветитьYes the emergence brake cables stick solid , they do still make them. I don’t hear your gear shifter working, it’s a fuse or relay in the panel under the dash.
ОтветитьI’m surprised a car built in the late 60’s still has a wood structure. Interesting. I imagine that Rolls no longer builds this way? Good info and great videos.
Ответитьtry guys
ОтветитьYOU HAVE TO HAVE BOTH DOORS CLOSE FOR THE TOP TO COME UP
ОтветитьFascinating....love ALL your videos
ОтветитьHi, You are doing a wonderful job on this car, very interesting.......Cheers
ОтветитьI’m so sorry, but I understand.
I lost my father to COVID in August.
My sincere love, thoughts and prayers are for your family (especially Melissa). ❤️❤️❤️
Great video
ОтветитьGreat Content !
