I watch Steve Ramsey’s You Tube Channel. He is an experienced wood worker. He recommend to seal wood before coating with anything. This will give you an uniform look when you spread stain or wax or color. Just a comment. I am not experienced either. Everyday learning something new.... love your inspiration for small projects.
ОтветитьI wish you could zoom in.
Ответить👍👌👍👌👍👌
ОтветитьI did it with the Woodglut plans.
ОтветитьThank you so much for your detailed video! I had similar furniture colors that came with our house and off side off roads for free. Now I know exactly what to transforn them to.
ОтветитьI’m about to put the white Waverly on a burled wood hutch. I will do a little test like you did. Prayers! I have one shot, as I have sanded down the veneer as far as I could. I still need to bleach first. I also heard to do a 50/50 water to white vinegar solution on your piece to neutralize the bleach. Hope this works and looks as great as your pieces! New subscriber. Looking forward to watching your posts! Thx! ❤️🙏🏻🖌
ОтветитьYou said Bible and I subscribed. 😋😀

I have a lot of subscriptions to a lot of DIYers etc... and Yours is definitely one of My favorites 1 Thank You so much for sharing!!!
ОтветитьHi. I think you need to take some time and take a quick tour of Stodoys website to find out how to do this.
ОтветитьI love the raw wood look don’t have any in my house right now.
ОтветитьI want to redo our dining chairs. I will try this. Thanks
ОтветитьOK... I got the Dixie B. Brand. Way way whiter than that Waverly. To Walbounds I go!
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Have you had any success with getting wood back to raw when it had been waxed? In my specific case I'm talking floorboards.
ОтветитьHi! This is so helpful! I’m wondering though, is this pine furniture?
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. Is there any chance you can tell me the height of that side table? Thanks
ОтветитьYes! This is exactly what I was looking for for my headboard. I’ve gone through the same process and this will finish it off perfectly. Thank you for sharing! 😍👏🏻
ОтветитьThanks for the white wax suggestion. I have been looking for what I think I am looking for
ОтветитьI’ve read somewhere that the reason different parts of a wood piece reacts differently to stain or wax is because not every piece of wood that was used to put the cabinet together was from the same tree. So it will depend on where the tree came from the age of the tree how long the wood has been sitting. There are many factors that play into it.
ОтветитьYou sanded? Pretty sure that’s a man in the pics doing the work lol
ОтветитьThat wax is going to suck up all the stains too
ОтветитьWood u use this on a dining table
ОтветитьLove this project an the white wax was genius! Do u have to reapply wax every so often? Thx!
ОтветитьI love the raw wood look also. I'm researching how to protect a piece without altering the look. So far the only thing I have found is modern masters dead flat varnish. Have you tried it before? The few videos I have found the result are awesome and I think it's just what I'm looking for . But I'm wondering how durable it is.
ОтветитьI want to watch HOW did you get that look. Not so much talking please
ОтветитьWhere did you get the greenery stems in thr back? Are those faux or real?
ОтветитьLove your collection
ОтветитьI hear once you bleach you can also use a watebase topcoat like General Finish. They have a flat, super flat called flat out flat. well done! (bleaching is important so the waterbase does not pull up the tannins).
ОтветитьYou can go to the woodglut website if you would like to do it yourself.
ОтветитьThousands of lifetime projects with woodglut plans.
ОтветитьQuick easy access to many projects with woodglut plans.
ОтветитьI did it with the Woodprix plans.
ОтветитьThank you, thank you, thank you. I have put off doing a very large armoire because it has an orange color to it too. I feel better about tackling it now! Is that the kitty that “found” you. It’s so tiny & cute. Hope your family has a joyful Easter!
ОтветитьTY for this video. Your bedside table looks divine. Well done! ❤
ОтветитьYay! This was exactly what I was looking for 😁 I just bought two older 3 drawer dressers for nightstands and this look is what I want to achieve 🥰 Thank you for the video and the bleach tip!
ОтветитьTurned out so pretty! 🌸🌸🌸🤍🤍✅
ОтветитьBeautiful! Can you tell me where you sourced the wall sconces? I'm looking for something just like that.
ОтветитьYou do need to seal it maybe do a white wash of paint than use a white paste wax-
ОтветитьWhat’s the best way of stopping orange tones coming through - I’ve sanded an old chest but it still looks orange in areas?
ОтветитьIt’s wood, so that’s not a faux wood finish?
ОтветитьHi, Thank you for the video. Can you use the wax on top of a coat of polyurethane? I’m new at this and really need to know please
ОтветитьThe finish is natural and beautiful
ОтветитьSo all you did was sand, bleach and wax?
ОтветитьI heard Citrus strip had to change their formula and the new one doesn't work as well.
ОтветитьDid you let the wax dry? Wax give furniture a different look until it’s dry….just a thought and how I have seen it work on my bleached wood.
ОтветитьHow has it held up? Waverly has always been my 'go to' wax for small projects & to be honest, I've seriously considered using it on some furniture/beams, but wasn't sure of it's long term durability. I have a ser of reclaimed cypress coffee tables my husband just built & I tried the Minwax polycrylic matte finished on the top of one & it went from a beautiful blonde raw(but old😊) wood finish to a deep of red-orange I cannot live with. I'm sanding it back down & using the Waverly!
ОтветитьI have a question. Your piece is beautiful and I think I almost achieved the look I want. But what color is your hardware? It doesn’t look gold and it doesn’t look silver or stainless steel it’s beautiful do you mind letting me know what finish it is sorry I know I’m three years behind I just found you and I love watching your videos! Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you. You inspired me to bleach 2 pieces. The buffet became a light caucasian skin colour with purple grain so it took a few tries with paint washes to get a better colour. I did try neutral, white and black waxes along the way but painted over them with the final paint wash. Has a fantastic natural weathered look now. Because it already has the 3 coats of wax underneath the final wash, it’s protected and the top wash keeps the raw look. The pine blanket box turned out straw yellow so I painted that black. I didn’t think to do a paint wash then.
Ответить👏👍 excellent job 💗
ОтветитьIs anyone going to mention the fact that she looks just like Taylor Swift? (but only prettier and sweeter)
ОтветитьHi! I hope you’re doing well. One question , What bleach did you use?
