maybe im deaf but dont some of these sound pretty similar to some of the ones in your best sounding switches video?
also the mx blues sound pretty bad but i dont think they are worse than the ones before and i think the outemu sounded ok.

I was really excited when I got a keyboard a few years ago with Cherry MX Blue switches. I absolutely loved them... for maybe a few weeks. While I grew up with some beautiful sounding keyboards back in the day, the clicks in the Cherry MX Blue switches were surprisingly high pitched and tinny, not like the old IBM keyboards I remembered. I assumed that it was just me, but when I saw this video I watched it specifically to see if you'd mention the Cherry MX Blues. It feels good to know that it's not just me. They really don't have a great sound, despite all of the hype.

I have a smith-corona word processor with what I think are the leaf springs? They are so insanely stiff, and sound very metallic. I hate them.

Honestly I don't hate the sound and feel of blues. To me the feedback is quite pleasant, though they are by far the worst on a hollow rattley board with unlubed stabilizers and ABS key caps. However if you get a relatively thonky setup with blues where it's only the switches making noise, it's quite nice really. Knockoff blues are hit or miss. Sometimes they feel better for typing but honestly they need to be lubed. I still prefer the sound over most membranes and laptop scissor keyboards, but then again that isn't saying much is it. It's all really personal preference though, and I really enjoyed the video!

typing this on a board that i bought a 120 pack of gateron blues for they dont sound nearly as bad as cherry mx blues

By sound alone, I actually find the Smith-Corona kind of charming.

There's something about how loud and typewriter-like that i actually really enjoy about the outemu/gateron blues. I have a redragon keyboard and im almost sure that's what i actually have lol

i love my gateron blues but i will be switching to box whites soon... btw i dont think ive heard anything worse than those futaba ones my god its like its got something i can only describe as "rusty whistling" or something.

i have a calculator with futaba MD linears and i solved the binding and squeaking issue with alilbit of WD40 they now sound full and bassy and more importantly smooth

tbh I like the way my gateron blues sound.

I used to work with someone that used a keyboard that sounded similar to that last one, it always sounded like someone jogging in place with nothing but Tic Tacs in their pockets. Thank god for headphones

I actually had greens on that board, until someone in a warzone game said "I know you're there bro, I can hear your keyboard" as I was actively trying to make it quieter. My soul left my body and moved to Guatemala out of embarrassment.

Futabas sound great IMO. Seriously some of the best switches I've tried, and I've tried pretty much all of them

While I agree "Blue" MX switches and their clones are one of the worst ever because they're clicky and loud without the satisfaction that you get from typing on a "Model F", which is also clicky and loud but the feel of a "F" keyboard is total typing satisfaction...Whereas the Blue is just a loud version of black, white, brown, etc. However, I disagree with one point and that's that the Futaba should have been #1 worst because I can't even imagine actually designing something that sounds that bad.

I almost always get flashbacks when I see blue switches from when my broke ahh could not afford a better keyboard. I unfortunately sometimes have to use it to start some things up.

My partner came to stay and I told him not to bring a kkeyboard, for obvious reasons, so he was using the "aesthetic" keyboard I keep in the spare room and I realised it has blue switches so I asked if he anted a different one, maybe something with reds for gaming cos he's a gamer, but he insisted he didn't mind them. Had to slowly tempt and trick him away from the blue basstards to the point he's borrowing my best keyboard atm. It's funny cos wehn yo're typing on them they feel cool but if you hear someone else type, or worse game, on the fucking things they're so nasty.
