Unfortunately the cheapest you can buy this table in Australia is AUD$80 (local retailer). Amazon has this table for AUD$92 while ebay has it for AUD$84.
ОтветитьA very well designed and made table, simple and zen. Soto table.
ОтветитьWhere is the Green Forest? Struggling to find it.
ОтветитьLittle baby table. I like it. Deploy, deploy!
ОтветитьThis is small enough to fit in my trauma bag and I could keep first aid off the ground in an instant. I definitely want one
ОтветитьMy only concern is the mechanics of the thing. The more moving parts = the greater a chance of said parts breaking, jamming, wearing out. I read how many people say it lasts for years and years and being Japanese and NOT chinese, it should be well-made.
Ответитьhey I'm a Japanese listener here and I love how you introducing Japanese camping brand !
even the かっこいい!! keep up the awesome work!
It would be a great table for the Cupid Heater.
ОтветитьJust wanted to mention that I have both the Soto and The Trekology table, don’t ask why. The Trekology table is a little bigger, is cheaper and comes with a better bag and I prefer it over the Soto. The opening mechanism is the same on both. I cannot vouch for the longevity on the Trekology because I haven’t had it very long but it appears to be well made.
ОтветитьI purchased this product after watching your first video. I found it on sale for a little more than $20 and I have used it extensively. I use it for pretty much the same things as you do but when car camping I put it on top of my cheap plastic table whenever I have electricity to prevent my, cooking source from possibly melting the surface of my table. It's height allows me to store a few things underneath that I would not be able to do with something like directly on the table. I really appreciate your reviews and I take them very seriously and so far I have agreed with everything that I have purchased based on your recommendations.
ОтветитьWaste of backpack space.
ОтветитьI'd just use the stump instead 🤷♂️
Ответитьa tiny fiddly table
the iClimb is a better choice
Please do a video on the Best tasting insta-coffee
ОтветитьI followed the two Amazon links in your description. Both of the tables are showing as unavailable.
ОтветитьI bought one that flip into 4-5 pieces. I basically store it flat. I can use it without extending the legs on a flat but soft surface. Yours cannot
Ответить$110 in Canada. Lord, prices have all gone insane...
ОтветитьThanks for the great review, Luke. We have purchased a number of products that you've reviewed and they are are great quality. We trust your reviews, integrity, and honesty. Thank you
ОтветитьCascade Wild was a better, cheaper option from a really wonderful company/owner, unfortunately the owner shut down operations and retired.
ОтветитьSOTO also make an excellent butane lighter with an extendable rigid tube neck
ОтветитьVery handy ❤
ОтветитьAs an Australian i actually use a fair bit of japanese outdoor items, including the soto amicus stove. I love cheap things from daiso (not sure if its in other countries). I switched to their little storage containers instead of nalgene, i also take their cooking chopsticks that break down as well instead of tongs. They have a great little range of outdoor and bbq items.
ОтветитьNeed to check out 2QZQ Tree Table by DutchWare
Ответитьoh Luke,, I do like that little table.. so good for hiking or just camping.. thank you for sharing..Have a wonderful and safe thanksgiving to you and your family...
Ответитьinteresting.. but I don't get it. Also.. $40!
ОтветитьI rethink my gear often. Your reviews are like a conversation I have with myself. I really appreciate your channel my bro. Keep on keeping on. Also I wanted a table like this. For similar uses. Thanks bro.
ОтветитьIf they made a grate with this same design I'd justify carrying it - the ability to cook over the fire with it but also have a flat surface that you praise this for. But just as a table it's too big for most backpacking trips.
ОтветитьSo I just went to Amazon to take a look for the table. Whelp no longer 40 price range, went up to 70. Looks like I am buying it from the official Soto site. I think someone from Amazon is subscribed to your channel.and went "oh he reviewed it, price hike time" and yes I am joking and not blaming him for the hike.
ОтветитьMy wife has the Soto table. I have the Trekology version. It's a slightly larger version. If I remember right Trekology makes 2 sizes of it. They are both fantastic little tables. Can't say I've noticed any real quality differences between what we have. All your points are great. What I like is it's the perfect height for when I'm sitting in my camp chair. (Helinox Chair Zero) It's just that little bump for putting my drink down or working on that makes it very enjoyable to use. Certainly not a necessity but so nice to have.
ОтветитьVery Cool mini table.👍Thanks Luke.
Ответить"Here today on another episode of, Bullshit products nobody needs"
ОтветитьIt is $103 in Canada. I would have paid $40ish and been happy.
ОтветитьHave you tried the Orkso Tree Table by Suluk 46 (sub 4oz)? Its available for sub $40 as well as the soto table on garage grown gear's website.
ОтветитьTypical Japanese product, excellent.
ОтветитьIt also comes in matt black color and bigger size now,
I would like SOTO to make one with holes punched metal plate
I have a similar table The iclimb it's great light weight and durable.
Ответить$40 for you, and $100 for us Aussies. No thanks. Great review though Luke. Thanks.
ОтветитьI am disabled and can't go camping but I was wondering if it could be used as a laptop table?
ОтветитьMy titanium table has holes in it so you can setup a trangia spirit stove or fire beneath it. It also works without legs if you want.. same size.
ОтветитьI already have the Trekology one (American), which works well, but it's made in China and I can feel that; the mechanism is a bit noisy and its operation is not as "smooth" as it should be
- I will definitely buy SOTO now, thanks for the review!
That`s just great, another item one will spend his money on...oh yeah, xmas is around the corner, so that`ll make a great excuse.
ОтветитьI have had this table for a year now. Only negative I have with this table is the weight. But at the same time I am not sure if it would work as well it does if it was any lighter. Its stable even if there is wind. It is made of aluminum so you can put hot pans and pots on it. When caught up in bad weather this enables comfortable cooking inside the tent as well.
ОтветитьI did without a little table like this for years. I did not know what I was missing. I now, in later years, have several types of tables. One is a miniature sectioned foldable top with multiple slats that are compact when rolled up and in the bag. Two are from England that have flat tops and foldable legs and I also have this Soto Field Hopper. It turns out, the Soto is the lightest, quickest, smallest folder of all and I keep it with my Firebox gear. It is worth the money.
ОтветитьYou know what is just like a table with no legs? Flat ground!
ОтветитьFirst thumbs down ive goven luke. I feel like this was paid promotion. The effort to make this a viable item was just too great, i mean really a table....for in your car.....the same surface that would hold the table would also hold the drink or plate. Idk man this was hard to watch
Ответитьequipment by SOTO is of mindblowing quality and perfection, only Japanese could come up with (after German engineering has been successfully crushed)
ОтветитьI’ve had one for about 4 years and it’s great, I love it. Surprisingly sturdy for its size. Great for keeping your gear out of the muck. Tons of uses.
ОтветитьThank you for another great review 😊
Ответить42 bucks for a crayon box, no thank you.
