I have experienced the same problem with my Windu Galaxy's Edge Lightsaber with the batteries, at first I thought it was broken before acknowledged the battery issue as thought it had broken on the flight back to Scotland, but its still going strong nice purple Lightsaber can't complain, I am coming back to get another one though so thank you for the update and great channel BTW just recently found it.

I really don’t understand Disney on how they don’t release Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber but yet they have the time to repackage the legacy lightsabers of Mace Windu, Darth Vader, and Anakin Skywalkers lightsabers to make them in a different package.

the most likely reason for the color improvement is higher quality LEDs, lower quality LEDs have an issue emitting a good purple as the color mixing isnt very accurate for a multitude of reasons, so purple ends up as a deep magenta, which is probably the color your seeing in the old blade. also, not being able to display the purple you were seeing over video is a common problem, so no big deal.

I might be alone in this, but having collected previous Legacy sabers and blades, I prefer the smaller solid plastic box packaging.

I previously had Force FX sabers and the long cardboard packaging was a nightmare for taking up too much storage space and getting damaged. The hardshell legacy boxes are much more compact and the 'storage crate' like nature makes accidental storage damage less of an issue and some would even say it makes them more accurate. Being able to use 1-2 blades across the whole collection not only saves money but is better for the environment too, not to mention less stuff to store away.

They are only really necessary for people who are just starting the collection as they would not have a blade. IMO the stand that's included in the new sets is not needed as if they were on display they'd look much better in the crate with the lid open...

I just really hope they continue to deploy new releases in the plastic crate format as well, as it will probably prevent me from continuing the collection if they don't

I didn't read through all the comments as there are so many. Purple is a good test with the LEDS to see if there is a clear difference but I'm curious if you compared the new blade in any other legacy hilts to see if there is a quality difference in color as well. I have a good number of blades varying from opening day all the way up to about 2 weeks ago and I've personally noticed some differences but they do not all correlate to when purchased. I'm thinking on the ones that are purchased separate at least that it is kind of a crap shoot on the LEDS that happen to be in your particular blade. Some blades I can see clear lines and "dead space" in between the LEDS where others its a perfect smooth light all the way up and down.

“Great Christmas gift” if you can get your hands on any of them. The damn things sell out within a day or two of restocking and take weeks to come back because of all these damn scalpers wanted to sell them for $600 on eBay.

Disney needs to offer these with smooth swing technology. The sound effects and the inconsistency when clashing and swinging with sound not matching up with the movement sucks big time.

I have a question that I cannot find the answer online and I know this may be a stupid question. But is the legacy set that you can buy on ShopDisney contain the same hilt that you could buy at the den of antiquities Hollywood Studios galaxy’s edge? Reason for this question I don’t make it down to Disney as often as I would like and really want to get one of the legacy light sabers from there but if I could order a similar one off of shop Disney, I would do that seeing that I do not have anyone that lives down in Florida to obtain a legacy hilt from galaxy edge itself
