Judas was also a lover of money and was suspected of stealing money from others aswell..He was such a lover of money that he gave up his friend for 30 pieces of silver..That should be a warning about money also in how it can destroy lifes and relationships..

Yeah, but it's the Pope. It's not just anybody in particular, like a priest or a person, it's supposed that continues to be pope to be the problem.Why is that accepted Why do we have to have to deal with that all the time. It's so embarrassing and disheartening, and makes all of us as a whole look bad. Look down upon and made fun of which is fine, but it's just not right. Why can't we just fix the problem

The Catholic Church already betrayed our Lord by not doing as He said. The history of the Catholic church is one of destroying or burning at the stake, their enemies who won't accept their teachings that have no scriptural support. When Luther split he knew this history and escaped to Germany where the princes there protected him. After that the Catholic Church rejected God's command to burn their enemies and instead called them names. With that churches popped up everywhere so now we have over 40,000 denominations

not the best explanation . Apostle Judas is you and me, back stabbers , we do it all the time , and the worse is that we do not admit it.

If Jesus already knew what he was going to do wouldn’t that mean everything would already be chosen, do we not have a free will. God created man and the angels knowing billions would rebel and be stuck in absolute horror for eternity. Hard to believe that’s correct.

Why would Judas, a devoted member of Jesus' inner circle who had walked all the way to Jerusalem with him, betrayed him? After all, those who took that walk with Jesus believed they would soon be welcomed into paradise. 30 pieces of silver would be useless. It suspect the whole betrayal story was a literary invention that grew up in the generation after Jesus' execution. Story telling often needs a personal villain, and an invented character like ol' Judas Iscariot makes an excellent antagonist.

Kinda looked over the very fact that Judas served a purpose. Had he not betrayed Jesus, outcomes would been delayed or not happen all together. That in itself is an interesting story. How many Judas's do we encounter in our lives?

So you are now using Judas to apologize not investigating structural problems in the church? The one odd priest who falls into corruption and worse is ONE problem. Institutions that systematically shield those priests from justice - and thereby hurt their victims even more are another problem!

What Judas did, had to be done. It’s like the “necessary evil”? Either way the Jews were going to going to find out Lord with or without Judas.

The only jew of the 12, replaced by a pharisee that persecuted the early christians before converting after a direct confrontation with Jesus Christ.

Its kinda what paul ended up writing about in romans. The natural branches were cut off, but if they accept christ, they will be grafted back in, just as we unnatural branches are grafted in.

Judas betrayed Jesus not out of revenge. Put out of the lawful Wrath of God. So what caused the lawful wrath of God upon Jesus. And how many people committed the act of murder. Not including the lawful acts of execution. Actually that would also mean that the church has authority by God to lawfully execute people due to murder. For the wages of sin is death. From death comes sin. Why murder is not permitted. Why abortion is not permitted. It's because they're killing the babies dog. In falsely accusing their husbands of murder.

There's no evidence of the Catholic Church as it is being established by Jesus. Up until the death of Jesus his disciples did not know where he was going. They were quarrelling over who was greatest and he said to humble oneself. They didn't know where he was going when he said he was leaving at the last passover. They were disappointed and confused when he was crucified......
And none of the Epistles points to the Catholic Church, they all point to repentance and faith in God. Peter never even wrote a letter to Rome let alone went and established a church there. They had false teachers and they never referred to a church heirarchy, but to faith and Christian teaching.....Paul was happy when people taught Jesus out of spite because he just wanted Jesus name to be proclaimed period. There's just no letter by the apostles nor prophets pointing to the church

My experience with a priest of precious blood was negative. .
He asked me to leave the Rectory with the excuse that Diocesan priests cannot live in the Rectory of the Precious Blood priests for very long .
But in reality he was saying around that I was dirty and not obedient to the rules
With a stroke of his pen he ask me to leave on Christmas season

I don’t believe it was a testament of ‘scandals in the church’. To me it shows Jesus’ ever lasting love for all alike and unalike. That even those with an ulterior motives have a cause, and which that brought to action can tear crops from their roots if not confessed. I feel Judas’ betrayal speaks volumes for those who are meek and hurt, those proud and self reliant, and those earnest yet directionless. We in our churches and as a society must do as Matthew 5:39 says and welcome all thoughts, to welcome all feelings, to welcome all those who hurt and oppose as we would family and friends. Only through God’s love and grace and his church will our sins be opened up and freed. Praying for you all 🙏🏽
