The Chop sounds like it could have been really cool, but letting neo-nazis on your show is not okay.

A sports commentary show hosted by people who have no idea about sports is honestly a hilarious concept

I would love to see the footage of a pissed TV executive coming on air and saying "the remainder of this program will not be seen this evening or ever".

Hi,
I just came around your channel and watched this video from two years ago. I subscribed immediately because I like your content!

I want to say something regarding this video although there will be no one reading my comment I guess. Anyway...I'm (East) - German and therefore I have an especially bad relation to David Hasselhoff. Besides his ridiculous behavior you portrait through his short cut TV show I think you as Americans kind of respect him for his claims to be significantely responsible for the fall of the German border, to be exact the fall of the wall between East and West Berlin.
He presented himself in this way on top of the concrete wall on the night of 31. January 1989. and I don't blame everyone of you who thinks, that he's responsible for this.
Until November 9th. 1989, thousands and thousands of people of the GDR where demonstrating every Monday for multiple month, demanding an end to the restricting government of the GDR. They where demonstrating for the freedom of speech, the freedom of traveling and the freedom to spend your life as you want while snipers where ordered to shoot everyone protesting and heavy police force was ready to shoot or at least arrest everyone to spent years in prison.
Due to intense negotiations between the authorities and some of our most popular activists, there where no shots fired and the German border finally opened on November 9th. 1989.

So even if no one reads this comment, I'm glad to clarify some things regarding this dumba*s David Hasselhoff.
There's a second thing I want to mention quite quick. You wonder why it is forbidden in Germany to have a Tattoo with "HH"?
Well, like in the English alphabet Hi*ler begins with an "H" and also the phrase "He*l"...so there is no legit option to gain this letters in a tattoo or a license plate or whatsoever...neither the numbers 88 due to these reasons.

Best wishes from Germany
Anna

The Rich List is just Who Dares Wins, apparently The Rich List came first by around a year so it's weird they decided to port a show that hugely failed but it worked out well for them!

There's also a new show that claims to have no limit on wins called... Ant and Dec's Limitless Win. Creative, I know. Most people don't win a massive amount though as the later questions are often REALLY obscure but there has been at least one win of over a million iirc.

The funny thing about Dot Comedy, is that commedian Harry Hill made a very similar shows in the late 2000s called "TV burp" and "you've been framed", which ended up being insanely popular and genuinely entertaining

I remember a radio contest of "Guess The Sound"...

And they had this noise that sounded exactly like the footstep sound effect of one of those two legged walking machines in Star Wars Return Of The Jedi.
Kind of a k-thunk noise.

Literally hundreds of people texted and phoned in with that answer.

Turns out though... it was the noise of the plastic parts inside the cistern of the staff toilets inside the radio station's building.
The winner of the £10,000 was...

...

...

... the niece of the head of the station.

"Anchorwoman" Currently, most of Fox "news" female talking heads look very much like the actress in the clip, only horsier. A prediction of the infotainment niche presenters of today?

What The "Boz" lacked was an ounce of the charisma that The Rock has in such abundance. So rare for an athlete to make the jump to actor; they're mostly just wooden, which makes sense considering the stoicism necessary to be a great athlete.

"Who's Your Daddy" I worked with TJ Meyers, the daughter on the show, on a really awful Elvis-themed movie, not long after she was on the show. She liked the show, and liked being on the show, and told me she was disappointed that it created so much controversy. I guess no one asked her how she felt about it...

For "Heil Honey I'm Home", people just couldn't get past the whole "the star is Hitler" thing (especially in the early-90s when many WW2 veterans and people who lived through it were still alive). Personally when I look at it, it was cleverly written with all the historical references in there (like Blackadder) and the parody of 50s American sitcoms but it just was never going to work for the reasons mentioned in the video.

Also, a show featuring clips of animals being narrated by comedians has great potential.

Hardwicke House was a victim of bad advertising imo (although it's still not a very good show). i can see that if it was better written and was billed as an alternative comedy it might have done a bit better with fans of that style, but from what I've read it was advertised as more of a sitcom. of course, it probably would have still failed (the episode with Rik and Ade is only passable because of Rik and Ade's chemistry and slapstick, but even then it's still not good), but it wouldn't have gotten the backlash it received

i can see why they thought Host the Week might work - the title is a clear play on Mock the Week, which was a super successful show that heavily features improv. the difference is that the host isn't the host if they don't know what's going on

Poor “Host The Week”. The host they picked is a beloved TV personality who by all accounts is genuinely lovely, but their lack of improv training completely showed. If they’d started with an experienced improv comic as first host then maybe, just maybe, it’d have had a chance. I have a soft spot for it.

No mention of the Geico Caveman show? I had the 'pleasure' of watching the pilot and I gave up after about 5 minutes.
I'm autistic, so I have a hard time reading people, but even through the thick layers of makeup I could see the actors absolutely dying inside with every line. Every joke was just 'it's kuz I'm BLACK' except, you know, cavemen.

If 88 is a N4tzi symbol, that means NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, Jr., is a N4tzi because his car number was 88. Also, NASCAR legend Dale Jarrett is a N4tzi because he also drove the 88 car.

Emily’s Reasons Why Not also had a massive ad campaign as well with ad blitzes on billboards, buses, trains, and street furniture. Magazines writing articles about it saw their editions delivered (after being printed) after the cancellation. It had been ordered straight to series.
