I prefer OneNote for typing notes on my PC and having them sync to my iPad through OneDrive. I’m already into the Mircr$oft system due to work, so that is easy for me.

However, I’ve been looking for an app to use the Apple Pencil with. I bought Notability on sale for the first year, and it is OK. But that’s the problem, it’s just OK. Templates are nice, but I find I don’t really like using them because the one I want to use like the daily planner are locked and cannot be changed. If I wanted that, I could just buy a thirty+ year old planner at the local office supply.

Many things covered here is leading me to consider getting NoteWise. As she states at the end, several do not even seem to be on the radar for other apps.

How does it compare to Goodnotes 6?

Do you use this and goodnotes?

I really wish they had left-right swiping. I don't like the vertical scroll xO other than that, this feels like a great Goodnotes replacement since I'm hard boycotting them!

I’ve been using GoodNotes for over 4 years, but there are several features here that have me rethinking that. Thanks for sharing, I’m definitely going to play with it to see which I like better, especially getting ready to head into a Master’s program.

I think Goodnotes is $5.00 total? I love Goodnotes and can't imagine paying a monthly fee - and I use GN 20 hours a week.

Very interesting. So is there a reason to switch from Goodnotes to this if you used goodnotes for years and have all stuff in there? This looked not much different to me than Goodnotes and doesn't seem to have the recording function, so I just wonder if there is a valid reason to switch :-) thank you

Great overview. You had me sold enough to try it out! But lack of handwriting recognition is an unfortunate omission. I love being able to search my handwritten notes in the Notes and GoodNotes apps.

Can your Cyberry planners be used with this app? Or only GoodNotes?

I am trying tidy app but, it seems to unlock all rather than just one sticker at a time. Can we unlock just one sticker so the other’s aren’t moving as well?

Premium user of notewise here, I've set my pen stabilization to 3 as well 🤎 I love taking notes on this app. To reduce my screen time I always print the notes before exams. Imo its the best app for android!

These kinds of applications are nice, but I prefer simpler, more practical applications for studying. Like SelfSpot.

Is there a way to take notes on a canvas and reference a downloaded pdf sections?

For example

On my note canvas , I put a phase from chapter 12 section 3 of a book I downloaded.

Can I place a hyperlink next to my note that when I press it , it goes directly to the book chapter and section ?

Here's one of the problems I see it. I have an ipad mini, and ipad 10, and an iphone. I don't know if it's available on the iphone. BUT I would want to use it on both my devices so I would have to by two subscriptions. My wife has a similar setup. So now we're looking at 4X for each subscription. That's a shame because it is great software. Subscriptions are really complicated.

Does notewise have a pc version that will connect to the iOS app?
