America got that schmackos x jerky bacon
ОтветитьUS taco bell is SO much better
ОтветитьKetchup and Tomato Sauce are different, Ketchup generally has a much higher sugar content, leading to a sweeter flavour.
ОтветитьIf you want a really good burger, you won't get it from a Fast Food chain, you need to visit a Fish'n'Chip shop.
ОтветитьInteresting, I've always heard American's say our Mcdonalds are a step ahead of America's. I wonder if this is because ours dropped in quality, yours upped their game, or if it's just your tastes (or what you ordered) that effected your opinion?
ОтветитьMcCafe originated in Australia before McDonald's rolled then out globally.
ОтветитьYou should have tried Betty's Burgers
ОтветитьIm sorry but as a Mexican you couldn’t pay me to eat Mexican food from anywhere but the Americas 😂 It just could never compare. Not enough spice and flavor!
ОтветитьLet's be realistic, food in Australia is not only unhealthy, it is outright crap. Sam, if you keep eating that stuff, you're going to die young. Upside is, we have great heart surgeons.
ОтветитьIsn't Zambrero more common than those other ones? It seems like I see more of them. (Regional QLD).
ОтветитьI throughly enjoyed watching this. Thanks mate
ОтветитьBro I thought American kfc was last everyone in america is saying that it’s super dry and tastes so bad
ОтветитьSam I have notice here in the US that when you deal with any merchant, particularly when you are paying with a debit or credit card, the merchant does not automatically provide the customer with a receipt. Sometimes, they will ask if you want a receipt. Other times they do not offer you a receipt unless you lspecifically request one. What is the precedure in Australia when you pay with a debit or credit card?
ОтветитьYou definitely shouldn't fry things in olive oil. It is not a good frying oil.
ОтветитьGuzman y Gomez is here in Illinois
ОтветитьIt’s such a crime that you didn’t try wicked wings
ОтветитьNeither Taco Bell nor KFC is compatible with life.
Ответитьaustralian and brtish bacon is a different cut (its superior) it's more like pork belly. Meaning more meat then fat. So there for u don't overcook and burn it like american bacon.
ОтветитьHey here @alexcrosse9970...
When you said : "I didn't think you know what "when in rome" means." ... IMHO, Sam says that in a very tongue in cheek way or in Australia they would probably say "cheeky"... Just saying.
Bacon is from the same cut its just you only use the sprit part while we only using the eyelet.
ОтветитьI had a mate from South Carolina recently visit Aus for the first time and he absolutely loved the phrase "Too Easy". He was determined to make it catch on in the US. Though he didn't realise that "No Worries" originated here as well, so it's possible in 10 years we'll be hearing many of our US cousins replying with Too Easy.
For next time you're here, give Oporto a go (Portuguese inspired chicken takeaway, basically a competitor to KFC and Red Roota), and Zambrero (much like GYG, but a step up in quality, though maybe not as much of a flavour punch as GYG).
The other thing to get while here would be a kebab. Kebab shops are probably one of the most common take aways here, but because they don't fall under a single brand it's impossible to quantify how numerous they are. Essentially, compared to how many stand alone Mexican take aways there would be in somewhere like California. Australia has a sizeable Middle Eastern population, which brings Kebabs to just about every corner of the country.
The other thing you need to try is a "Tradie's Breakfast" (tradie being short for Tradesman), essentially a pie or sausage roll (with sauce) and either a Dare Iced Coffee, or a chocolate Oak Milk. Aussie culture at its finest.
In your other video from Aus I noticed you mentioned you weren't sure whether you should be eating a pie with sauce, and it reminded me of my Mum telling me when she went to the States and she wanted to try a bagel, but didn't realise you're meant to put something on it. So she had it plain, and didn't really know what to think. Essentially it's you with the meat pie/sausage roll. They can still be enjoyable without it but sauce on top just makes it 100% better.
Mans went to Australia, saw the item, and asked us on the internet what we think of the vegimite taco? Just order it!
ОтветитьChicken burger not sandwich!!!
ОтветитьSo McDonald's in Australia is the same as here in Canada is my main takeaway here
ОтветитьFood = Smack / Music = Slap
ОтветитьGonna have to try GYG being from chicago!
ОтветитьI've been living in the US for over 20 years at this point. While I've gradually got used to American bacon, I still miss proper Aussie bacon.
ОтветитьI once asked for a chicken burger here in America and they didn't know what I was talking about. Way to go Australia, makes perfect sense to me.
ОтветитьAdd this to the list of phrases no one has ever said before: "I was in a time crunch because I needed to go hold a koala."
ОтветитьI had Guzman Y Gomez in Chicago I always assumed it was a local Chicago chain lol
ОтветитьWe have McCrispy in Canada too
Ответитьi ain’t watched the video but ain’t no way there’s good food out there
ОтветитьIt’s an Aussie and kiwi thing to put beetroot on the burger. Check out the white lady in Auckland
ОтветитьSandwiches are always sliced bread in Australia. If its in a burger bun, its a burger
ОтветитьBeetroot is super popular in burgers in Australia 😊
ОтветитьMaccas is definitely a hundred times better than American McDonald's
ОтветитьYou have to pull a Hilary Clinton and bring your own hot sauce lol.
ОтветитьI think the condiment situation in Australia, or lack of, is because they’re trying to save money. If they don’t have to give it to you and you forget to ask, which everyone does, they’re saving money. It’s terribly irritating.
GyG is also known to be the healthier Mexican option with a minimum amount of preservatives being used. Zambrero, another Mexican restaurant has provided my family with a large dose of salmonella with each burrito. Absolute bargain! 🤮

I have been to one of the Guzman y Gomez locations in the Chicagoland area.
ОтветитьFOOD DOESN'T SLAP PLEASE STOP
ОтветитьWhy would you go half way around the world to compare shit US fast foods?
Ответить10 years ago I was a chef on a yacht. All the crew were Australian or New Zealanders. Their favorite (beef) burger was with no cheese, pretty rare, with an over easy egg and beets! They also called breakfast "breaky", avocados "avos", ketchup "tomato sauce" and a cup of tea a "cuppa". Lol. I loved it!
Also, according to them, their food was much more influenced by Indian curries than Mexican food, which totally makes sense. Maybe that's why Taco Bell never really caught on. This was just my experience from my crew, but I would love to hear thoughts on all that from those that live there!
Thanks for another fun video!
In Australia, if you ever hear bacon, it's that Canadian garbage variant. I actually don't think Australians have ever tasted real bacon unless they came to America. Pretty sure their government outlawed it.
Ответитьwhat did the cheesy bean and rice burrito ever do to you ??
ОтветитьThere are definitely GYGs in my area outside Chicago!
ОтветитьThere are GYG in USA
