FORM | Scribblers On the Road Family Fun Day 2024

An incredible lineup of local and interstate storytellers and illustrators travelled across the Pilbara, 5 - 12 June 2024 for FORM Building a State of Creativity's Scribblers on the Road.

From Yandeyarra to Newman and many stops in between, Zeno Sworder (VIC), 2023 CBCA Picture Book of the Year Winner; Brenton E McKenna (WA), Western Australia’s own graphic novel superstar; Sally Murphy OAM (WA), award winning poet and novelist; and Shane McCarthy (WA), DC and Marvel comics writer, together with the FORM Scribblers team, delivered workshops and presentations to more than 900 kids, spanning over 50 classrooms classes, from 13 regional and/or remote schools. They also hosted writing workshops for adults at South Hedland Public Library, Marble Bar Public Library and Newman Public Library.

Scribblers on the Road culminated in a free Family Fun Day of workshops, craft and entertainment at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub in South Hedland.
