Fabulous playing, young man. This video ignites something in me. I just now am returning to sitar practice, after some 38 years, and you are greatly inspiring me. I really didn't leave by choice, but non-the-less, it is like a home-coming in a way. In high school and university music performance studies, Ravi Shankar was my hero. I got within a few feet of him a few times, ha, and Alla Rakha.

Well, anyway, I just love your sitar playing and wish you all the best. I will continue to watch you and will learn this tune to play for others..

P.S. I love the tone of your sitar. Pandit Harvinder Sharma recently brought my sitar from India.. When I met him to take sitar, he explained few things. One was there are basically TWO styles of sitar, Ravi Shankar and Vilayat Khan. The sitar I took was Vilayat style, which I am finding out to be more difficult to play. I also miss the 7th string. My first sitar was Ravi Shankar style which I purchased in Vancouver, Canada. So my question to you is, is this sitar you are playing the Vilayat style 6 string? It looks like it to me.
