What I'm doing now is stacking. For a major market correction. I don't try to know when. I watch and wait for the next bottom. We just had one but another is coming. They always do.

I bank with Keybank and have shares of their stock. I've been focusing on stocks that are part of what I use daily.

Look into a stock like Clorox or Procter & Gamble as like Waste Management, they're stocks that are seen as recession proof. People need waste taken away, need cleaning supplies, get a stock like Kraft, food is always needed.

There's a story back during, I want to say the 1940's where a guy was encouraging everyone to buy shares of Coca-Cola (KO) as he saw everyone drinks it and sure enough, there were several coca-cola millionaries from those who listened to this guy about buying shares.

I've been investing for a couple of years now and I'm not an expert by any means. But, I think the way to go is finding what works for you. Some people can sit there and trade all day and hit on almost every one of them. I cannot do that so I've switched my focus to growth ETFs and investing into them every week. I have some stocks that I'm also buying or investing "x" amount of dollars into every day and at the end of the week, I split my paycheck in half and put that money into those growth ETFs I have like VOO and SCHD. I think this is the strategy that works best for me because I'm not out here chasing the next big thing or waiting/anticipating a stock to hit a certain price so I can make money. I'd rather sit back and build for my future little by little.
