Fully agree with you I think this is one of the best remakes in the game it looks amazing. Driving on the water instead of under it is going to make it seem like a whole different track. Love the stormy conditions and whole feel of it. Think it will be really interesting to explore it in free roam as well😊

I'm very happy this track is back! I don't get why some people don't like it as much, or remember it's even a track, It's just as underrated as Airship Fortress.

Maybe the “world” version is before the ships sank under weather like in mk7 so Mario kart 7 is after

I really like World’s version. Saw someone say it should’ve been near the Bowser area but I actually love that Nintendo put it near the ice area. Not only does it re-contextualise the crash as being caused by an iceberg, it’s such a sharp contrast from the rest of the cup it’s in and I really like that honestly

The slow reverb version of the OST at the beginning is incredibly haunting, wow. Great work as always Swiftjar! I'm still a little worried about the lack of underwater driving in this game on this track in particular, but I'm staying optimistic!

Original is better, though World does seem to give a different kind of experience.

This is one of the returning retro tracks that I’m looking forward to the most along side Shy Guy Bazaar and Dino Dino Jungle. I love how this track looks in this game! 🚢⚓️🏴‍☠️

The whole path from grinding on top of the cannon and from there on the wooden posts makes me so excited

I mean, this is the only Wario track that actually ties into Wario's games. His nemesis/rival is the pirate Captain Syrup. That's what he's been getting up to :)

Shame how the track’s been mangled by the lack of the underwater feature. I liked how the track looked in 7 and Tour with the yellow and purple decorations, as well as the pipe section and the lighting (and what I assumed was a reference to Wario’s Gold Mine with all the carts full of coins). It just doesn’t quite capture the spirit of the original for me.

See, this is what i think a retro track SHOULD be, a track reintroduced with drastic changes that take advantage of the new mechanics. (E.g. Daisy cruiser in MK7, good retro track- it uses the new water physics perfectly and is a breath of fresh air. Sunset wilds in MK8DX BCP, bad retro track..just seems like an HD remake of Sunset wilds tbh)

The entire point was going underwater, the removal of the Wario branding is baffling and the underwater tunnel isn’t a fish with bones anymore it doesnt even look like the same track anymore It doesnt hit the same at all I dont like it at all

I don't think that the World's version is bad, it is pretty impressive that it is a lot moodier and more eerie, but I like the 3DS one's more colorful and cartoon-y graphics for some reason. I know, it is supposed to look serious and spooky, this track, but I think the colors are better on the 3DS version. Not being mean, just saying.

i miss the purple and yellow color theme of the original, It's now just a shipyard not Wario's Shipyard
