my collection is mostly ka-bar, benchmade , spiderco, and crkt i will agree when it comes to budget knives you cant go wrong with the half a chance and karamin...have used my karamin as a edc neck knife for 2 years almost daily vs high priced knives...and i would say just go buy the half a chance if your a chopper i have cut down trees in minuts with it...careful on rocks tho did damage my tip on one but again if your going budget knives hands down get these crkt's

on that trench knife few ideas here handle (both of them) need to be 100% sure on using them at maximum the axe part seems good try to make a model with a loger blade and so the blade can be longer and to have more free space and at the begining of the blade make a ring in wich you can put the finger so it can be more safe if you know how to do it it can be used by the army itself ps sorry for bad english and good luck

Hey. Could you do a video about explaining to people that collecting knife is just that a collection and does not mean your crazy. My parents are over the top when it comes to knifes. " they are weapons and why would anyone have a knife. "?? Why can't they see that they have knifes in the kitchen that are bigger and can cause far more damage and would make far better weapons. Bit my 2.5 inch pocket knife is somehow some kind of aggressive dangerous thing. I'm in UK and you can't carry anything apart from a non folding non locking blade under ,3 inches.I don't get it. They are just insane about anything that's a "weapon" even though anything can ND a weapon and how a sturdy pen is far more damage can be made???/ I'm rambling but it drives me crazy. I'm 38 and if I want to collect knifes it's my call and they don't get a say..

Get a classic USMC Kabar. I'm a landscape contractor, and I use mine all the time. I can chop roots or limbs off an offensive tree or shrub easily. Its a very good high carbon steel that can take a lot of abuse and keep working. It's pretty badass. Check it out.

I agree the Schbolo is a great chopper. One night I used mine to halve a deadfall that was keeping me stuck on a dead end road, It took less than ten minutes to get through a nine inch trunk. Twenty five foot log was just too heavy. Ten foot not a problem.

I would get away from CRKT and Schrade, there are so many other way better options. TOPS, which are on the higher end of knives, are one of my favorites.

CRTK Ken Onion, a knife designer who designs some bloody useless knives that hurt the hands. I think he just draws a picture of a knife and CRTK just use his name for marketing. Some, most of their knives are crap.

The one from Greece is a fruit knife.

If I had one of those Talons, I think I would grind out the recurve and make it into a proper sheeps foot. I dont think you would loose all that much in regards to defense applications, and probably boost the utility capabilities.

you could probably mod that Keydashi and put a V bevel on it if you dont like the chisel edge. It probably just needs a tune up if the factory edge is not great.

So after like 6 years, i finally pulled the trigger on a Cretan Knife. I actually bought the nearest one i could find to the one in this video. $92 US and it is Inox steel. ATS-34 to be exact with my own model made by Nikolaos Palamianakis. It is a pretty decent higher end Stainless Steel with a HRC of 60-61. Probably my new favorite practical fixed blade
