I have had that glitch with Pyros. I found that not just relogging, but fully exiting is more reliable.

If you accept the suggestion, you should, while you don't have tek turrets, also put some metal fence support (not foundation support) to avoid people from getting close to your turrets/base with C-spin or tank quetzals

To fix the pyromane bug you're experiencing.

When youre at the main menu, make sure the bobs tall tales advertisement isn't being displayed,

If it is, go back to main menu and click space bar again to start.
Once it isn't displaying bobs tall tales anymore, you'll be able to ride pyromanes
