Hey Jason. Great video. You said it weighed 18 lbs. Was that fully charged or fully discharged? Lol 😆
Ответитьyeiison how much is the battery cheap?
Ответитьcost 323.89 to much
ОтветитьI built my power case into a Milwaukee Packout compact tool box. Part 48-22-8422. Includes solar charger, USB A and C chargers, 600watt sine wave inverter, and a dedicated 20 amp, 13.8V regulated DC-DC converter for using with portable HF. I just let the UHF/VHF run at whatever the battery voltage is. At $165 on their site, that is not a bad price for that capacity.
ОтветитьI bought a Zooms (company is now Redodo) 100AH a year ago along with 2 100watt 12 v solar panels and the WMR Epic PWRgate & a WMR RIGrunner 4004U. My FTM400, Iphone, Samsung table, Evolve laptop, and several other items have run on solar/battery since. To me it has been one of the best things to spend some coin on, well worth it for a little independence from the power grid.
ОтветитьThat’ll probably give that other LiFePO4 manufacturer a run for their money. With this bad boy, bringing my KXPA100 into the field is very doable.
ОтветитьSweet video
ОтветитьNot sure if this box would work, it's a bigger one. MTM Ammo Crate ACR7-18. It tapers up from the bottom. At the bottom it is 8.25" tall, 12" wide and 8" front to back. These are the usable specs. At the top it measures 13" X 9 3/4. I have a 36 ah Weize battery, Bioenno 40 amp CC, two big buss bars and a whole bunch of wired power ports in it with a lot of extra room. I actually store a 300 watt inverter and bag with wired PP connectors for various things inside the box. That battery looks to be pretty tall. Measure to see if it will work for you. It's a great box. It has two built in handles on the sides and the top of the box has a hinge on the back and two strong clasps on the sides.
ОтветитьI have 4 of the 100AH 2 in series and 2 in parallel for my 24 volt solar system. I bough them when they were still around $400.00 a little over a year ago. I just did a test on them a few weeks ago after I removed the LV2424 hybrid all in one controller and batteries from the camper. THey are still putting out over 103 amp hours each. The highest is 105. Keep in mind I have been using them for about a 1 year now! They were in my camper powering the AC, microwave, TV, etc. They do wrok a little bit better than advertised!
ОтветитьLooking at getting a couple of 200 AH ones for a solar install on my camper.. seen other reviews that look favorable for this one will pull the trigger soon on them.
ОтветитьGood stuff, Jason! I just got their 100Ah version on Friday! I'm planning to use it for Winter Field Day next month.
ОтветитьThat is a good price for that capacity. I could see one of those for my field Ham ops, and one on my sailboat.
Ответить@hamradio2 Jason, what about using a Pelican case for a battery box setup? I haven't done one yet. But that's my plan.
ОтветитьI made a battery box out of a 25L cooler
ОтветитьHey Jason. As far as the size goes. How does it compare to the size of the battery you have on your camper??
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьWhat is the FCC and CE numbers? Is it legit?
ОтветитьGroup 35, wow! They also make 200AH and 400AH sizes for cabins and RVs, looks like a great company so far! The Explorer battery box has a lower depth measurement of 5.75 inches as I just measured so it is a tighter measurement at the bottom than it is at the top to accommodate the two 24AH batteries (3.06" x 2). Since I run QRP it isn't a problem to stay with just one 24AH battery, but just wanted to say this battery box topic is a real science puzzle. When I put my two Battleborn batteries for my RV I got Group 27 boxes, but putting in all of the wires for the RV, Inverter, and the Smart Shunt was enough to cause me to open up a couple 807's to contemplate life, LOL (I date myself talking about rectifier tubes, LOL). Best, Dave - KU9L

ОтветитьWhat is the difference in the 50ah redodo and the 50ah pro?
ОтветитьThank you for this long waited review. I bought the exact same battery back last year summer. The first thing I noticed is the 18 lb weight. Most other 50 Ah batteries weigh around 11-13 lb. Even with 64 Ah, how is battery so heavy? Are they using recycled cells? Could you please enlighten me? Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat’s the pulse discharge current cutoff?
ОтветитьOn Amazon they claim the battery is 11 pounds.
ОтветитьSo it's a year later now, have you checked to see how it's holding up over time, it would be AMAZING if it's still that far above spec??
ОтветитьThat's a huge amount of overcapacity! 65 for a 50ah rated is wild.
How about current charge/discharge?
lol my 100amp hour batter weighs less then this 50amp hour battery go figure
Ответить~2 years later and they say it now weighs 11 pounds which is a huge weight reduction. I wonder if the capacity is now either a bit less or more.
