Also would you sell any of the lights your not using anymore?
ОтветитьI miss Jeb
Ответить“My name is Jeff” xD
ОтветитьThe ideo of the fish underneath is so great! Their waste would feed the plants
ОтветитьHey Jeb!
I've sent you an email.i hope you will read it.greetings from germany :)
try pantyhose, it's worked for me, also, rabbit fur instead of rockwool has worked for me.
ОтветитьI really aspire to garden like you, but I've only done little things here and there and I'm really looking to take my knowledge of gardening to the next level and start using nutrients. Can you please make a kit? (I'll explain).
I feel like the nutrients are necessary for a healthy plant. If you could create like some kind of kit with the nutrients and tell us what specifically to grow I would love that. I mean, it's just an idea, but I think you could get some extra money and have more people follow you from this. Or you can start a series where once a week or once a month you give updates on the status of the plant. (This is of course after you would launch the beginning of the plant kit on your website). I aspire to be just as great as a gardener like you and I hope everyone else does too. Like this and get it to the top if you agree and wanna become a pro-gardener like him.
Mars hydro hell yeh
ОтветитьPewdiepie plant version
ОтветитьCould you try growing plants kind of like this but with cheesecloth? Maybe that would help the plants stretch the loose fabric. Maybe you could even try radishes with this method. Could you try?
Ответитьwtf is this. and why can i not stop watching it
ОтветитьI don’t get it
ОтветитьJeb,
I enjoy your videos, especially the music you include. I saw a video which was a live chart from last year where you showed a sweet potato growing “slips”. Can you please detail the “setup” you’re using? I believe you have the potato sitting on a screen with water underneath..raft system? Is this the method you’re now using? I’ve had no luck doing it the old fashioned way is suspending the half of the spud in water.
Thanks and keep posting!!
Add some bubblers!🥳
ОтветитьWe are on the mission with you.
ОтветитьJeb you indapendantly came to the same methods the Mayans and Aztecs used to floating farms; amazing!
ОтветитьWhen the knife gets flicked, you know the end is nigh.
Ответитьhave you ever experimented with sheep's wool as a growing medium in place of rockwool?
ОтветитьI use Mars hydro lights got three in one tent they are magic.
ОтветитьWeed hydroponics
Ответитьwith a large scale screen grower like you doodled, harvesting could literally be just a blade on either side of the screen that it is dragged through, the leaves stay on top to be dropped in a bin down the line while the roots fall right there into a composting bin
ОтветитьThe man’s on a mission! Deflector shields, Mr Sulu.
ОтветитьCan you try one with fish so they can get rid of the alga?
Probably they not gonna go that well because u can't add nutrients But hey the fish may make enough to grow something
That is pretty damn awesome.
ОтветитьEven cheaper than aluminum foil and much better is the emergency heat blankets
ОтветитьHey Jeb I know I'm super late but what if you made a hybrid between the two setups?
Basically stiffer mesh/screen but with holes to hold those plastic grow cups. So almost the same deal as the lid you use but with screen instead.
Also what's your opinion on aeroponics?
not all hydro systems are float method most have gone away from that system because many plants do not like roots constantly wet
ОтветитьFor algae use some shrimps ( amano, red cherry shrimps)
Ответитьyour screen idea might woork great if u cut a x in the screen after the plants started to allows room for your steams to grow.
ОтветитьThis makes me think of the Aztec chinampas.
ОтветитьJen, can you make more videos for the lockdown?
ОтветитьWhy you dont build a greengouse in your garden. You pay a lot of electricity while living in south california.
ОтветитьCoffee and water... my kinda guy! Thanks for the videos my boyfriend and I love them! We have a bunch of tomatoes and 4 different peppers now. Keep it up! 😊
ОтветитьYears ago, I was thinking it would be great to live along the bank of a creek, stream or river. You could dig out a small cove to float/grow plants in a similar manner. You could also regulate how much fresh water enters/exits by using natural resources to dam up the inlet/outlet. Plant crop bearing shrubs, bushes and trees along the edges to help regulate the wind, water and soil erosion. Plant some aquatic plants, such as watercress, to encourage fish to spawn, and a heaven for minnows, there buy increasing the natural nutrition of the water for the crops that are to be grown on the floating islands.
I believe that this would be a much more efficient use of natural water ways, with far less water loss then most modern systems in use today, including most so called organic or natural ways.
My bonsai tree does the same thing as that one plant at the beginning
ОтветитьJust wanted to let you know that I've been watching you for a little over a year now. Your basil in Mason jars video is what got me into hydroponics. You inspired me to take my garden to the next level this year. My home is now engulfed in plants and vegetables inside and out. Thanks Jeb 👍
ОтветитьYou don't need motors. You just need floating rafts and a lonnnnnng tub.
ОтветитьWhy is your music hilarious 😂😂
ОтветитьI think I might have a record-breaking potato plant normally 1m to 1m 10cm is pretty much the plant maxed out in hight it flowers and stops growing.
I have a plant of 1m 85 cm! with lower leaves the size of my face! it's a monster! and still growing! the ground under it is bulging 20 cm at the stem and a mound of 1m 50cm in circumference since this puppy hasn't flowered by now I think it never will so I will keep it growing until the season change will kill it and with the global warming of the last decade or two that might not be until October or even November and judging the huge leave mass that I will get a lot of very big potatoes from a single plant I expect it to go over the 2m mark in 3 to 6 days or so it is now higher than me! I will have to go out for higher supports and if the weather stays fair until season change it might reach 3 meters or so at one inch to 2 inches a day.
for structural rigidity, look at something like plastic eggcrate sheets
ОтветитьGrow neem, extract the oil, use to kill pests, fungus, and mites
ОтветитьI don't know if you ever done it, but having a camera record the growth of roots and then doing a hyperlapse would be so cool, not even sure it's possible, you'd have to put a faint light under the cover.
ОтветитьDo you even chinampa bro? Bro...
ОтветитьRespect for dealing with the bastard that is foil deflector shield!
ОтветитьI've always welcome spiders in my garden they eat things that like to mess with your plants I've actually gently gathered spiders in my house and place them on outside plants
ОтветитьYou should get a bunch of fish put them in a tote and then have plants above then you wouldn't have to add nutes get like a organic fish plant symbiotic thing going
ОтветитьI love your videos. It's entertaining and educational
ОтветитьGetting algae growth only on the rock whool outside tote? Water is algae free? I started using washed river rock instead with rinsed off dirt roots from plants started from soil.
