Digital only made me a little sad.

Y'know you can play this on the japanese NES switch online collection, right?

Pity rewind ruins all the drama and completely changes the game. I get quality of life and all that BS but you will play differently knowing there is no fear of losing a unit.

As clunky as it is, the music and art is timeless.

Seriously, this limited time release grinds my gears. It's blatantly an attempt to use fomo to generate hype.
And how does this compare to the DS version? I own that one, so is there any reason to buy this one as well?

I was just going to type this game is HARD, even with save states and rewind. but I love it. Its a great game. well worth the 6 bucks. its worth the buy. old school game, for old school players

WHAT SINCE WHEN CAN WE PLAY THAT

This game came out a year before I was born and obviously never played it having lived in the states. Surprisingly the game holds up well and I still find it fun and can see the origins of the series I love so much. I would have ate this shit up as a kid if it was on English NES. Hopefully we get more of the Fire Emblems on Switch. Definitely challenging.

Omg i love fire emblem games but its a no efford cash grab... This game is outdated and not aged well, they should give us DS version instead of Nes. Nes version should be available by nes online service.

What instances are there where you need specific weapons too deal with an enemy. A general? I feel like something like this shouldn't happen often enough

I was hoping for a digital SNES version or remaster the NDS version.

I've had some major issues with the game's save states and turn rewinds, completely forgetting what I did for several minutes. Why the hell did we have to pay for this instead of having this land on the Switch Online Service?

A game that was ported to SNES as part of the third game, and remade on DS, and then that SNES game including it also remade for DS... of course Nintendo makes the oddest choice possible to "introduce" the original to us. They couldn't have just added it to the NSO NES collection? Ported it to one of the many modern FE engines that exist?

After playing every game but the first three and finally playing three I have no interest in this game

Just gonna throw this out here... Shadow Dragon got a remake for the DS a while back so we didn't have to suffer through the original. I really don't understand the point of this port. 🤣

Is it though? If I can still use Gordin and Draug at the end of the game (as I have) with them being considered 2 of the worst units in the game, it's not all that difficult in my opinion. Not to mention that if you're used to plugging forts and choking points this game can be possible one of the least punishing experiences fire emblem has to offer. If you want difficulty, play fe11 ( the remake of this game) on hard 5.

Why is there no story going on? It just goes to the next chapter without any dialogue, just a some small talk during the begging of each chapter. Is this just with me or with everyone?

I remember playing the original Mother on NES... the game was so primitive as compared to the superb SNES version (although I still did not like the grinding part). This game looks too primitive for my taste. I hate grinding and I have much better things to do.

Can we get some streaming footage of the controller spiking rage? Would watch and adore.

I know it's had a few remakes but those suck. Let's get a brand new fancy Switch remake with cutscenes, voice acting and special hidden recruits like Link, Zelda, etc

Honestly they should remake FE1 to explain the entire story instead of having to learn the rest online/from the top FE experts. Or from side games.

By that I mean each of the tidbits u lose out learning about each character, like merric is one awesome bro to marth on a phenomenal level, same with Elice marth's sister. The 3 are all childhood friends and merric and elice are into each other.

This is actually my first fire emblem game and damn I was pissed when all my characters died and I didn’t get them back lol.

I think fire emblem gba version is better I think then the original nes version

I appreciate the shadow dragon release.
But I’d appreciate a Telius port (POR and RD) 10x more as the only way to play those games is via emulation... or forking over a huge sun of cash to resellers (as in, profits don’t even go to Nintendo). At least for SD there is FE11 to play, that one has quite a few of the much needed QOL changes if I simply must play Archanaea’s saga.

*Has a near migraine after the first battle due to the lack of conditions, sending a troop to the castle for nothing, wandering the map with the turn system still in place for no reason since enemies are gone, investigating every building, manually ending each turn, then looking up a guide and finding out Marth specifically has to go to the enemy castle, then lay Castle to the castle. Oh, why did I word it like that? Because Nintendo changed the command from “Siege” to “Castle” in the localization according to the video I watched. Who thought that was a better word?
