i love your videos. They help me alot. Thank you very much :)
Ответитьtank you
Ответитьas a Brazilian guy that is learning mandarin, I would like to say that those videos are beneficial, and I am suffering a lot in pronouncing the words :/
ОтветитьTo clarify the stupid lesson:
Chinese S is like S in most languages. Like English "See".
Chinese Z in like TS, or the plain German Z. You just add a T in front of S. Like English "caTS". Note that the English native speakers can easily say TS at the end of the syllables, but it is very difficult for them to say TS at the beginning of a syllable.
Chinese C is trickier for the Europeans, as the is it uttered as an "aspirated" TS. Beyond the linguistic lingo, "aspirated" means you try to combine the basic consonant with an H sound. Instead of saying a simple TS, you say TS'H. I used the apostrophe for you not to be tempted to make an English SH sound. Most Chinese consonants have their "aspirated" versions.
Hi Grace, with words NOT having "u" or "e" as the back vowels? Do you still use the second way to say words with the S sound?
Ответитьthanks for all

ОтветитьGirl you're a LIFE SAVER. Thank you so much, you're so helpful
ОтветитьThank you, Grace, for your very helpful videos. Can you please explain the difference between the sound "x" and "s" in Pinyin. In theory, I know that "x" is pronounced with the tip of the tongue touching the lower teeth, and "s" is pronounced with the tip of the tongue touching the upper teeth. But they seem to come out sounding quite similar. Please distinguish them for us. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank yoooooooooou❤
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьOk this helped a lot. I never quite noticed the difference just hearing myself and hearing people speak it until I saw these videos and noticed the small difference that was what my chinese friends say is a foreign accent.
ОтветитьThanks!
