That is complete BS, there was no way in he** that 3 gallons were flowing when they were getting 1000x that amount out of the area before the storm. This is why these companies should not be allowed to do this work without real oversight. The money they pay to local politicians is the reason this was allowed to go on for over a 10 years.

This is ridiculous. Billions of dollars should be spent to correct this issue rather than fund wars we’re not fighting. The elite are destroying our world to earn a profit. The human race better wake up soon and put a stop to all this craziness. Life as we know it is about to be a distant memory if not.

It's NOT Pollution.
Pollution is something that has been placed/dumped
This is Natural oil exuding from beneath.
The only charges CAN be bought to the company are ones for the Rig itself. Due to a Natural disaster NO charges can be issued.

In other words, this respected and even beloved Taylor Energy company allowed massive pollution to go on for years, did nothing about resolving the problem, and then sued a company that came in to clean up their mess while Taylor lied about the whole situation. Is the Taylor family still so beloved around there? They should NOT be.

Now, imagine all the good things humans could do if they if they dedicated more time in science and technology to help the environment instead of using science to make weapons or capitalism. This video gave me some hope for the future.

I've been there, it's call Mississippi Canyon 20. I was working as a cook on board a large ocean-going subsea vessel that carries some of the ROVs the name of the vessels were the Connor Bordelon, and the Brandon Bordelon. It's absolutely insane what everyone involved with Taylor energy is doing, the sheen/oil slick would spread out for miles away you can see it when you drive up to it. Taylor WAS a hero in Louisiana, he created so many jobs in the state and I mean GOOD JOBS and also created a program called TOPPS that paid for college for C students with no other way to pay, he literally helped educate tens of thousands of Louisianians my age. My dad was a crane mechanic and inspector who worked as a field specialist in Taylors offshore oil and gas fields in the late 90s for like two years. I can still remember some of his daily calls home ( pre-cell phone era lol) it would come up on the caller id "Taylor Energy". What a terrible turn of events and what a terrible not to end on. I mean when is enough enough? I'm sure that widow was not poor and has millions upon millions of dollars! why the greed? she was once the richest woman in the state ( now that's Mrs Gayle Benson, the late Tom Benson's widow). Taylor was a success story and a beacon of prosperity and hope to our entire state, and now it's just another cautionary tale of American greed on 60 minutes. just so damn sad really. The teams have it down to a science now though as far as oil collection. Here's hoping somehow God sees fit to bless our poor state again somehow 🙏

The very first discovery of oil is the longest-running oil spill. By the time we contain it, the world may be on fire.

It is always about the money that way it puts regular people on the side line .The very rich will handle this problem behind closed doors the damage is against the peoples environment the rich hands money back and forth to each other and the people pay for the hole thing in the rise in the prices at the pump !

The Taylor’s never intended to spend the money in the cleanup trust. How is it fair for one family to have acquired this much wealth drilling for the oil that is beneath all of us? It’s so wrong that we allow these oil companies to make billions all for themselves while they’re slowly stealing resources that belong to all of us…..

Mr. Pizza Lightning would have drilled the remaining relief wells back in 2012 to 2018 as this containment dome was only a TEMPORARY solution that's now going to cost the U.S. Government 93+ billion dollars via Supreme Court lawsuit for arbitrary & capricious gross negligence since world class Archipelago Management was purposefully blocked from permanently solving a BIG problem as NOAA SSC's rediscovered this massive leak in 2012 during Deepwater Horizon ops to have it continue to leak for another 10+ yrs only 20 miles away from the 2010 MC252 wellhead site: WTF!!!

Huhh I thought that their ( Taylor's) lawsuit would be to get the oil that's being recovered !? NOT just to remove the device and leave it as it was !? What EVIL PIECES OF HUMAN WASTE 😢 I had noticed how careful the coast Gaurd captain was not to say anything negative about Taylor energy and I THOUGHT it was just an abundance of caution. As a Marine I've seen and had to do that myself a few times.
The Taylor's are spending MILLIONS on legal fees that they weren't willing to spend on cleanup and at first I was dumbfounded but now I think I understand..it's in an effort not to get sued later and made to refund the cost of the product and cleanup.
Still SUPER sh*tty of them. ONLY CONSTANT PUBLIC shaming and attention will make them do the right thing..or as close to the right thing as they'll ever do.

If you ever wonder why the government doesn't
"DO THE RIGHT THING"
this is why. Because rich and wealthy citizens and companies ( almost ALWAYS republican) sue the government and slander the officials destroy their careers and threaten their families.
