Pardon me from asking this and correct me as well. Finding the true tdc on piston and camshaft lift is much better when they are not yet attached by timing chain or belt, right?

Pistons dwell like 5 to 6 degrees at the crank so you're pretty much wasting your time trying to degree a cam. Just buy a degree wheel they're like 10 bucks

Is there a way to discover what degree centerline is of a camshaft with only one comparable centerline at TDC? If my lift is different than the manufacturer's specs, and the manufacturer's website does not have the same exact cam running on different centerlines, is there an equation possible to figure out what degree I'm in or how many degrees off I am?
